So if I had safely fallen like you did and I had to chose between killing a Earth's creature and cutting my stupid paraglider's cords, I would sacrifice my paraglider, ass.

He could have made it much easier if he just tried untangling from the start instead of shaking it. If the bird doesn't think you're a threat and knows you both were hurt, there's a better chance he won't snack on your fingers. I would have started untangling faster instead of sitting around so long, so he doesn't think he's captive or some other fucked up perception.

I am a PPG pilot and this video has open my eyes! I fly in West Florida and I see many birds of pray flying around me all the time, including the bold eagles. The only good thing is that a loud ppg engine and screaming propeller are keeping the birds away! Nevertheless, I make sure now that my reserve is freshly repacked and ready for anything...

Paragliding pilots are a community who aspire to fly like eagles; this misogynist russian has kinda missed the whole point of why we fly. Paragliding is dangerous full stop. He had a very lucky escape, and although his adrenaline was no doubt pumping, it sure as hell wasn't the bird's fault! Great footage, but particularly limited individual who would have opted to kill the eagle than risk his precious kit.
