im new to dubstep wince it is so new anyway and im focusing on certain artists just now any way. anda few ppl im into jsut now feature murs on there shit and he is one of the best underground mc in america and to hear him on a banger from chase n stat is awsome. this isa big deal for hip hop and its spin off
This shit is fucking insane man Big up, loving dubstep and loving the sound of murs so this is the best combination i could think of , didn't even know that it would sound good but it suprised me it realy did man
@niggafolifeman i i dare talking shit about hip hop alright. it is uninspired crap made by people who think they are o so cool but actually look and behave like they have an IQ equivalent to that of a sloth. It needs to keep its dirty fucking hands of other music genres that are actually good. And the notion that there is any fucking difference between British and American 'mc's' is ridiculous. But hey if you wanna listen to that sludge thats fine. what would you expect from sum1 with your nick
@Insomnium2188 well, if you think that, get off hip hop videos, n fuck off back to whichever genre your listening to, and it doesnt make a fucking difference what sort of name someone has on youtube, i'm just ignoring the fact yours makes you look like some sort of fucking science geek, if you wanna go round saying people that listen to hip hop are stupid idiots, say it to peoples faces and see how far it gets you. keyboard warrior :)
@Insomnium2188 you OBVIOUSLY haven't heard "underground" hip hop. anything on the radio you can call guaranteed SHIT. i will agree on that. but it's all about finding the true shit. theres some INSANTELY intelligent hip hop...and it's definitely not easy to rap intelligently. so NO that generalization is soo fucking wrong
Big up Murs for the shout out...there from the beginning in the Basement @ Pure Filth...Reeese pek! His DJ Magi is one of the founders of Pure Filth in L.A!
This is insane im from london but i know murs is sick "hoodies up trainers on everybody shady" yes murs took this track .....this absolutley changed my mind about yanks spittin over dubstep because i heard snoop dogg over eastern jam i was dissapointed but murs IS THE SHIT
I myself have read this argument now and would have to agree with TheWayForward, just for the simple... simple fact this other illiterate moron can't even spell.
Spelling music as moozak isn't cool anymore. Now stop trying to be a keyboard warrior
"kingoftherastas" because while it may be pretty fucking cute, it's also a pathetic attempt at most.
I think that there has been too much ambient, dark dubstep released just a few years ago that was prevalent and they never did incorporate a whole lot of imaginative musical elements (layered melodies, intricate note arrangements, live instruments and not just synths only, and the like). The genre is growing and evolving, so watch this space!
Don't give me all that sentimental back in the day cobblers. I've been following dubstep for several years and am a producer myself and dubstep has just been a very amateur genre up until recently. Most of the original dubstep producers had very little knowledge of proper music theory and sound engineering. The basslines were just simple wobbles, the beats were plain, there wasnt much else. How can you say I know fuck all? You're clearly just a tag along follower still clutching onto old mix CDs
yeah babe, where are your tunes? whens the last time everyone skanked out hard to one of your choonz at a rave? im thinking never. and who the fuck cares about music theory :S ~THEORY????? its all about living it my dear, not the facking theory!
I'm not talking about 'MY' tunes sweetheart. I'm talking about THEIR tunes. Without the theory of music we would just have noises that nobody can "skank out to".
whose tunes? u chat crap!! ur saying all this shite about "most of the original dubstep producers" ... well come on my dear lets hear some names? cuz im pretty sure whoever you name
a) doesnt give a crap what a little youtube "critique" like you has to say
and b) understands the term skank out. mong.
also... you say youve been following dubstep for several years... congrats, but still no one wants to hear your opinion. :)
Alright fag listen up. You talk a lot of shit. You say nobody wants to hear my opinion, but you think everyone wants to hear your shit? Did you think I was saying this in the hope that some producer would read it and start crying? Dubstep isn't about monging out anymore to simple beats. Its about big tricky beats, crazy intense basslines like no other genre and mad synths. If you want to 'skank out', take your old dubstep and go do it in the corner where nobody has to be involved.
u might skank out alone, but i dont!! because im not a stinky turd breath!! and dont call me fag, im a ladyyyy get to know bell end!!! just shut up, you dont actually know anything and if youre that small minded about what you typify as dubstep theres clearly no place for you in this evolving word of moozak!! see i use big words too. safe, and good night.
You say theres no place for me in this evolving word of music, but you're the one raving about original dubstep while im the one saying how its grown into something much better.
yeah but you cant just denounce the roots. it wouldnt be anything without those producers who came and showed the world their own genre, allowing up and comers to learn and change the genre to what it is now. why am i still talking to u, u wanker! diiiiiiiiie!
@TheWayForward I don't know what i dislike more, Idiots who think Wobble is everything and won't listen to the smooth stuff or snotty elitist pricks like yourself who think they're above it.
@lshaw17 Sorry Boss, I didn't realise it was uncool to dislike a type of music. Obviously you are just so down with everything that you just love it all and have no real opinions whatsoever.
What are you on about? I complimented the good stuff and criticised the bad, since when was that a crime?
@TheWayForward dubstep has been on it's way until it started, best believe dubstep will only get bigger, the two things in this world that go up and can't come down
Also, including subfrequencies in music (those below 20Hz that our hears can't hear, yet we can feel them physically using our tactile senses). Rap music has been using very low bass to drive melodies and to make your backside rumble played on subs ever since at least the late 80s/early 90s. Dubstep and rap have more in common than you think. After all, dubstep emerged from the 2-step, garage, grime and drum and bass scenes in England, each of those genres borrowing heavily from rap.
