Dulé came by my Contemporary Theory class at PSU on Wednesday. He really impressed me quite a bit. 1) He was clear on how students shouldn't just listen to celebrities but find out for themselves, and 2) he was insightful in that most "Hollywood" people have family in middle America who keep them in touch. Good for Max Kennedy! That was very poignant, in the mention of children asking us what we did in this election--I can remember Max's father Robert Kennedy and how hard he tried to get us out of Vietnam. and how hard he tried to help those in our country who are desperately poor. and how hard RFK worked to heal racial divide. Hey, those were OUR rotten bananas Max was talking about! He was at the Gresham Obama office before he went to PSU. I'm still tickled that I got to talk with him and shake his hand. I'm old enough, that the Kennedys are still like royalty to me. It makes the Kennedy family's support for Obama that much more special.
