@prboy2500 dont get me wrong ive got nothing against glocks.... hell ive never owned one but ill take a good old revolver any day of the week. With NY states restriction on magazine size the fact that i only have 6 rounds doesnt put me at much of a disadvantage either. And the simple design of a revolver takes away the potential for many malfunction that you find in a semi auto. If your talking home defense and protection IMO you cant beat a revolver.

You know, I would have either an M1911A1 (.45ACP; slower bullet but bigger with more energy), a Glock (9mm; faster bullet, carry more), or a SIG P226 (best handgun ever made!) Probably the SIG P226. I mean, it is accurate, reliable, and can take all, and I mean ALL varieties of 9mm ammunition. How more (excuse blunt term) badass can you get? Plus, you can hit things at 500 yards with a SIG P226. Probably a Glock too, but still...

@prboy2500 not all guns are for self defense though. so its not a luxury to have a nice trigger. just pointing that one out. and it all depends on the persons preference. i wouldnt carry a glock for my CCW, id carry a 1911, or XDm. thats my choice of firearm

thats true to an extent, but if for whatever reason you dont like it then theres no point. even if solely for a self defense gun that only gets taken to the range once or twice a year you should still know the gun inside and out. i think glocks are great guns, though i will never buy one because personally there just a tad too light for my tastes and i think they're ugly as all hell, but thats my preference. if your going to buy a gun get what fits you so you actually enjoy it

Nice but the bullet slows down very fast under water to complete stop after just ~4 meters or ~13 feet. And if you shoot it holding your own head under, the shock wave is likely to knock you out and kill you. You'd be better off trying to wrestle the shark. :-)

Gunshot close to your ear canal can be dangerous even in air, definately more so under water. And balance works via inner ear too you see.

This is ridiculous. "Rated to shoot underwater"? And just who the hell is rating guns for things they aren't supposed to be used for, and aren't very useful for? Shooting underwater isn't just ineffective, it's unsafe and stupid. The pressure wave can injure anyone nearby. ALSO even though you should NEVER do this, the fact is that most any handgun will fire underwater. If the spring propelling the hammer/striker generates enough force to overcome the drag from the water, the round WILL fire.
