That's a flag route not a fade. Your B receiver is actually running the fade route.

That's actually a poor decision against a real player as that's the easiest receiver to use pick off of.  If you notice, because of the man coverage, Maroney is wide open for a bigger gain in the flat than that dangerous "fade" could ever produce.

And if you handle precision passing pretty good, the B receiver who is actually running the fade has a good advantage on the ball in that man coverage.

@crsoe Eh, it's not the official fade, but it's more so than what's called a fade in the video. Maroney is definitely wider than wide wide open on the first pass play he ran, Gaffney is, too. On the second chance, you're right, but this is still a stupid way to play. Second time it was a zone defense. Not just Madden, but football in general: always hold on to the ball against a zone and see what the defense is doing.

well, if u are playing with a decent WR, than u have to find the man coverage and make sure that there is no zone coverage around him. if u zip it in there, more often that not (on pro, or maybeeeee even all-pro)this pass will be completed

try that on all-madden mode which 95 percent of madden players use as the difficulty. bet that pass gets picked off 8/10 times.

my man thats against the com base 4-3 D. any decent player would come out in a dime. i would use a dime cover 2 zone. when u move moss play wit the free safety and its over. as for the other routes corners will be in short zones for the drags and the strong safety for the go. that would be a sixer to the house.

Against the Patriots, you play the nickel 1-5-5 formation but with your Dime players. I would easily user pick the fade and have coverage on the other routes.
