Cities XL is a graphics showcase from what I've read. And there's nowhere near as much stuff for it as there is Simcity 4. Simcity 4 is very very involved, but the graphics are from 2004. Yes, they're good for 2004 but you may get frustrated by the fact it only has isometric viewing options and everything is locked to a grid.

I actually enjoy sim city societies. Don't get me wrong, the other sim cities are fun, but they just seem like a graphical update of the last one. If you own one, you basicly own them all (Well, excluding the first.), I don't know, I may just look for more advancing in games, with diffirent featers, rather than a feel for nistalgia, like many gamers in simulation series strive for.
