Wilmots said after the game ( and till now) that it was a clear goal and there was nothing wrong with it. The fact he almost didn't react is because he was so astonished that the referee denied the goal. Go and wash out the pepper out of your eyes...

Wilmots reaction to referee's appointment of foul is more a lament and a recognition than another thing...(0:18 to 0:21) and (0:28 to 0:32)
Seems that he felt that referee saw what he did in the play:
that he already pushed Roque Jr to conqueer the space and head the ball (pushed Roque Jr with arms, knees and left foot)
...
the end of the foul (0:36)...Roque Jr all twisted, crooked by the action of Wilmots (knees in his back and foot between the legs (foot-in-balls)

@CassianoPampulha Look at the video again and you'll see Roque Jr running backwards (without looking where he goes) and, to prevent de collision, Wilmots warned him by touching his back. Maybe Roque was disctracted by it, but he was not pushed. If someone is at fault, it's Roque junior who collide with Wilmots, who was running forth towards the ball.

J'ai été dégouté à vie du foot ce jour là. J'étais en examens et j'ai vécu 45 minutes où j'ai vraiment cru qu'a jouer comme ils le faisaient, ils pouvaient la gagner cette coupe. Aprés le but annulé quelque chose s'est cassé et ils en ont pris 2. La plupart des compétitions officielles sont faussées. Wilmots et l'entaineur ont tous arrété aprés ça.

C'est sûr, on s'est fait voler. N'empêche que les Brésiliens en ont quand même mis 2. A ce moment là, c'était toujours 0-0 et les Diables auraient pu marquer aussi. Les Brésiliens ont été plus opportunistes. Un but ne suffit de toute façon pas face à une Seleçao, même médiocre.

Das Spiel war Betrug. Ich erinnere mich noch haargenau. Belgien war das wesentlich bessere Team und Schiedsrichter sorgte dafür, dass Brasilien weiter kam.

fucking shit referee I was 10 years old when i saw this game and i remember how my whole village came together at our school to watch this match against Brazil. All of the teachers, the local shop keepers, parents, children of all ages, young and old all were together to watch this game. I remember how i sat in front and how everyone cheered and hugged eachother after this goal. I watched almost every world cup game since 1990 and this is one of the biggest shit refereeing i ever saw i still think about it today, clearly Belgium has been refused a perfectly valid goal, the more world cup games i watch the more i feel like its corrupted...

I watched that game. That goal was absolutly correct but I think everyone had a second of doubt because nobody expected belgium to take the lead in that match and be able to score that easily against Bresil. But well every football competition is not fair anyway.
