If my memory serves me right, I think Astroworld had a ride like this, same name and everything, but it was rarely in use due to mechanical issues and then was finally shutdown, and moved to another SF
I've been to many of the SixFlags parks over the years but have never had a chance to ride this. From the looks of this thing in the video I think I would have probably chickened out anyway. I rode something at the state fair here, that looked similar with the same name Evolution but it didn't go all the way around and upside down, just side to side. Once I turned 30 I swore off anything too far off the ground lol
The ride behind the bumper cars was the "Pendulum" which is now called the "Revolution" at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL. The generic name for the ride made by Huss is "Frisbee" The EVOLUTION was located between the Giant Wheel and Skull Mountain. Last I knew you could still see the area where the ride operated from the imprint. I'm not sure why, but it seems like rides run more reliably once they leave SFGAdv.
@johnrea77 this is not a fisbie its alike ,but way different frisbie are not weighted on top and dont go all the way around and the chairs dont go upside down spinning,
That ride would have been Pendulum, a HUSS Frisbee that is now at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL and is not called Revolution. The EVOLUTION ride in this video has been at Six Flags St Louis since 2004 and is now called XCALIBUR. The other two Giant Evolution rides are not currently in operation.
yeah, this opened in 2002 or 2003 here at sfstl, i dont think we bought it from six flags great adventure though...since the six flags parks are all owned by the same company
I actually rode this on one of the rare occasions that it was open at Great Adventure. My sister and I would go to the park all the time and one day we saw it operating when we walked into the park and it was the first ride we rode. I loved it.
I saw this ride running once and by the time it was open, I was already too nauseous to ride. I should have just sucked it up and went on if I knew it would be gone soon after. Now I have to go to St. Louis just to ride a 'real' Bussink Evolution.
Or I could just go all the way and travel to Europe to ride the traveling 'Imperator.'

Das Original, nur dieser und der Imperator sind echt die größten Karrussels auf der Welt. Ich meine diese Fahrweise.

I always wanted to ride this and Pendulum, but I was too short. Unfortunately, they got rid of them before I was tall enough.
They really do look fun.

Both sides too. This was a great time for the park. Ride operations are definitely better today though.

Ride Operations was great then too. It wasn't hot at all from 2004 - 2006.

What a strange ride. The rotating wheel and it's passenger cars almost resemble an enterprise. It does a complete 360 attached to that giant arm.

This is the best ride I've ever had in my life, it was in Mirabilandia, quite some time ago, I took it 3 times in a row.. Fantastic..
A little too many people puked though.. the control room had windscreen-wipers... Incredible.
I miss it too much though, anyone knows where it is still possible to ride it? The nearest to italy?
Thanks

The other two I believe are still traveling around in European fairs, it's rare to see one operating.
