They are, stagger cut off the centerline, two rows of knobs removed, two rows remain. Seems to be one of the better options for fast trail riding and reasonable climbing.

2008 KTM Hardparts helmet. Check with some of the larger dealers, they may still have one in your size in stock.
Im happy to say ive ridden both and want the xc hella bad. Perfect for the desert once you get a bigger tire combo and gearing
