  • @RantingRamsay Indeed

  • I thought this was going to be about unwritten game development rules like sexual content

  • @love2game4life ...that's actually a good idea for a rant/video....

  • Even worse are players that go to the developers' website or Twitter and light them up with incomprehensible ragings, telling them "NERF THIS, NERF THAT, F*** YOU IT'S OVERPOWERED!!1!"

Apparently these days gamers would rather complain to the devs to make things easier for them rather than learn to deal with it or use it themselves. Even worse is when the developers listen to them and, as a result, alienate more players than they placate.

  • @pjds88 (1 week later...) The Internet Age has brought this upon us... *chuckle* As soon as they gave us (supposed) direct access for feedback to the developers, every "butthurt" gamer with a problem had a voice. Unfortunately, those same people are usually the type to create multiple accounts with which to post the same grievance on the aforementioned forums/outlets. The worst part is a noticeable amount of the time, the developers seem to listen to this overly-dedicated whiny minority

  • Good video, truth about idiots dictating what I'm allowed to use and not. Laughed my ass off when the cats started fighting. Subscribed.

  • I just got sick of the bullshit and the crying and whining of 14 year old (age and/or mentality) "internet tough guys" and stopped playing FPS games online, all together. Coupled with the brain killing vulgar and racism of people they never knew existed. Single player is where it's at for me now! I'm getting too old for multiplayer now (32).

  • @Denji2006 Hey, wait a minute. Was that an intentional, clandestine jab at me? I'm 32 as well!

I too enjoy very much the SP/Campaign modes of most of the games I play. In fact I usually play the campaign first, on the hardest available difficulty, before I even delve into MP. Most of my MP time is spent gaming with friends, usually people I know in person and when they log off I go play something like Skyrim or FIFA12 by myself.

Still wondering if that was an intentional jab Heheh.

  • @RantingRamsay lol No, no jabs intended. I just couldn't deal with it anymore :p

Unfortunately, my online friends crapped out and nobody in real life plays the same games I do. So it's a clusterfuck of idiocy when you're playing with random people all the time. I just gave up lol Hence "too old for it".

  • @Denji2006 I agree. Sometimes I try to play CoD:MW3 as a "solo" amongst a bunch of "randoms", and I just get totally pissed off at the lack of communication and teamwork.

I can't deny, I've sometimes thought "Am I just too fucking old to play this game because I think we should all work together to achieve a common objective in a game that simulates WAR, which is nothing more than a group of people acting together with teamwork to complete a common objective"? Usually said verbatim..

  • @RantingRamsay Socom games were worse for that. A game that (I guess used to now) was entirely based on teamwork to complete the objective and there were idiots running around like rambo expecting you to be their shield lol But yeah, most don't "play" anymore. They yell and cry lol

  • @Denji2006 Well now you're talking about my "bread and butter", as I was one of those guys that bought a PS2 and network adapter simply for the purpose of playing SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALS online. I survived it all, until Combined Assault, at which time I grew disenchanted. Got a 360 and started playing R6:V, until I eventually sold the 360 for a PS3, played Confrontation until 4 came out, got disgusted with it, and went back to 360 for my fragging fun.

  • @RantingRamsay i dont really play fps games but i have heard you get a better crowd on the pc release.also there are games like mag for ps3 that are all team based...never played it but have read about it.unfortunately for you it seems like the largest amount of idiots play cod.

  • @redshift912 I owned MAG for my PS3 from release day. And though, yes, in it's early days it was very much based on team communication to get the job done, it also very much suffered from CoD "elitism" and an unbalance between the factions.

In their attempt to "fix" that game they totally ruined it, in my opinion.

Fortunately for me, I have just acquired 3 "new" games that I purchased for the SP mode alone, so I will have ample satisfaction from playing those by my lonesome. :)

  • @RantingRamsay from all the people i have talked to about fps games it seems like pc games get a more mature crowd.there are still a ton of assholes but its a better ratio. at this point you can plug in a xbox controller and just play.i recently switched from console to pc and i am loving it.consoles are just becoming low end pc's anyway.. i understand why more people dont have them..the cost..but if you figure in the xbox live subscription, game prices

  • @RantingRamsay (steam has unreal deals on games) and red rings ect... you really arent losing out.i made the initial purchase of all my parts..put the pc together and now i can buy one part a year to stay updated..although i dont really need to..my pc should be all set for a few years..think i spent round 700,800..and anyone can build a pc..it is super easy. sorry if i sound like a pc fanboy...also you have a machine that is backwards compatible ..through a few generations

  • @redshift912 I understand where you are coming from, and am well-versed in the console VS PC debate. Even though PCs are upgradable, it can be quite expensive and if you're not very computer-savvy then it can also be a huge problem.

For example: My PC was beyond top-of-the-line 4 years ago, but now does not meet the minimum requirements for most new PC games. An upgrade would require me replacing (at bare minimum) both my graphics card and doubling my RAM. (continued)

  • and in most cases requires a processor upgrade. In most cases that requires a new motherboard. Sure, I could get by running the newer games with a new TotL graphics card and by doubling my RAM, but that would only get me by for another 6 months or so. Otherwise, a new motherboard, G.C., and RAM are in order. When tallying the price, it looks like I could buy a brand-new PC for an equivalent amount of $.

Conversely, in the console market, (continued)

  • ...most current consoles run (in overall life-span) for at least 4 years. This is the equivalent life-span of a new top-of-the-line PC when it comes to relevance, at less than 1/4 the cost. Plus, with the added convenience of "plug-n-play" ability. You pop the disc in and play the game. Whereas, in PC MP games, you're often required to download a specific patch and install it in a specific folder under a certain phase of the moon while drenched in goat's blood...(continued)

  • @RantingRamsay ...yes, I exaggerated quite a bit there, but I think you get the point. There's an ease of use that comes with consoles that cannot be denied. Even despite the RRoD (which was indeed an inconvenience, but not a monetary one because it was covered by an extended warranty, and the repair was most often free of charge) consoles have the same longevity as PCs. In addition, if your PC virus-crashes, you can't send it back and get a new one or refurb without $.

    *shrugs*

  • My dad kills people with riot shields in MW3. Pisses people off, lol.

  • @Awesom3Gamer I will admit that I sometimes get a bit irritated at being killed by a riot shield, but that's probably because I couldn't get a kill with one myself to save my life... literally (in VG terms, that is. *chuckle*)

  • Ramsay, what's your gamertag? Is it leadwolfofchaos because I was playing halo 3 and then he sounded a lot like you. Oh and my gamertag is The Paradox77.

  • @IFightPriests nope, that's not me. I don't really play/enjoy halo.

  • If you play AVP 3 enough times, you'll understand why people want others to follow unwritten gaming laws.

  • @MrCaCaaaaaaaaa hmmm...hope Aliens: Colonial Marines (out this Spring!!!!) isn't that way. I plan to pre-order that for 360 on Monday.

  • @RantingRamsay challenge accepted! wrap your mind around that one!!! 0.o

  • @RantingRamsay 2v2 then You get a friend in and Ill play with my hands and my feet because I'm that good.

  • @MindOfAnonymous LOL. How many times do I have to admit that I'm not really all that great at these games? *chuckle* I make no claim to being better than anybody. I just am sometimes more lucky than the other guy is good. *shrugs*

  • Were your cats 1v1ing in the background? I bet one of them Zerg rushed but lost because the other one used a noob tube.

See what I did there :D

  • @melikeit23 *chuckle*

  • Yo bro 1v1 WaW,MW2,MW3 I will FUCK YOU UP!

  • @MindOfAnonymous You probably would, because I'm not that good at 1v1. I'm a team player.

  • Those cats had me in bits!

  • @RantingRamsay understandable

  • @RantingRamsay understandable

  • @RantingRamsay Wtf is wrong with people? I don't like cats but I'd never go as far as to poison or physically harm one.

  • @Delorean702 I don't know. A lot of people are just like that, I suppose. I would never harm an animal that wasn't directly threatening my life, unless as mentioned in the video, I was in dire need of the meat to survive. Hell, if I see a stray dog or cat with a collar and tag, I'm that guy that tries to return it to the owner as quickly as possible.

  • I'm calling PETA......

  • @mastermachete909 Cool, maybe they'll put me on some unreasonable billboard and give me some free publicity. *chuckle*

  • I couldn't agree more, pisses me off when people tell me I'm out of order for using a specific weapon on a speciifc level and my argument is always the same, if its in the game for me to select it then its a valid weapon and I will use it. Some guy once got really pissed off with me cos I was using nothing but knife kills in Bad Company 2 and he said it wasn't fair because he couldn't hear me WTF!

  • I totally agree that people shouldn't tell you what weapons to use. You might find this amusing, but I still play Doom 2 competitively online. I just posted this vid to one of the DOOM forums because, nearly 20 years on, people complain about sniping and other weapons in games, the same way people had a problem with the BFG.

  • Fierce video concept

  • The one thing i can not tolerate in online gaming, is when someone uses an rpg in a close range environment, indoors for example. There is no escape from that -.- Killzone 2 was the game that made me most angry with this.

  • @redwing104 I hated the Killzone2 MP mode, to be honest. I've never like MP modes that place the weapons and upgrades in the map, so that anyone who's memorized the weapon positions on the board has more of a chance.

Even in my beloved Gears of War series, this is the one thing I wish they would change. I hate map-based weapon deployment.

  • Cat interruption FTW.

  • @PedroBenolielBonito Seems to have been the highlight of this particular video... *chuckle* May have to see if I can get one of their tussles on "tape" one of these days in the near future...

  • @RantingRamsay that's the beauty of animals. You can force them to do or not do something, but you can't predict when they will do something.themselves. And often you end up with moments like these :)

  • It irritates me when someone who is using a "bitch gun" is gloating about how skilled they are when it is obvious that if they used a different weapon they would be on level with everyone else, provided that no one else isn't using the "bitch gun".

  • @nick29203 I've noticed the same thing, actually, but usually just let it go. I'm not so prideful that I can't just back out of a lobby between games if I've been getting my ass handed to me or find the opposing team using weapons or tactics I don't agree with.

Sometimes it's fun to engage in trash-talking with these people, but I don't do it all the time.

  • i had a guy comment on a vid i put up saying it would of been better if i wasnt using the FAMAS in black ops. fuck those people

  • 8:35 through 8:44 man that was funny xD but its also about them bitching :/ lol

  • Man those are some pissed off cats.

  • @ZachTheRanter Actually, funny thing is that all of the noise was coming from one cat. The big one (16 lb white and grey with a bit of black american shorthair, about 8 years old) absolutely hates the little one (7 lb all-black ragdoll breed, about 7 months old) who just wants to play. Anytime the little one gets too close to the big one, what you heard on the video is what happens. *chuckle*

  • Where's Danzy?

  • I don't know why, but I love watching cat's fight each other. I'm a sick person.

  • @CodyJ09 you just suck at aiming

  • I agree with you for the most part but have you played Call of Duty 4? the "noobtube" (I think it was a gun attachment) in that game took no skill at all. You could point that thing anywhere and get a kill or two. I always finished MVP with that thing.

It's much better now, as you say every weapon takes some skill to use now.

  • Try writing the rules for Weapons then answering the gun/blade nuts...

  • Do an angry cat rant.

  • Don't forget the no Squaring rule in FIFA. Although, you may have already went through that in you original video, it's been so long :p.

  • @Moothead2 I think I might have briefly mentioned it in the original video, but I'm not sure.

I have to be honest, I don't really play FIFA online 1v1 competitively. I'm decent at the game, but better as a member of a team in Be a Pro mode (because I actually play my designated position... imagine that. If I select LM, I actually play LM, if I select CDM, I actually play as a CDM, etc etc).

1v1, though, I just get trounced by kids who have figured all the scoring tricks. *shrugs*

  • The only thing that bugs me about gamers is when some of them jump to avoid getting shot. Sure it works half the time, but that shit is just annoying.

  • @CodyJ09 I always find myself muttering to myself: "what, does this kid thing he's playing Halo?" when I see a "jumper". *chuckle* Unfair, I know, but funny to me.

  • @RantingRamsay Exactly! That shit needs to stay in Halo where it belongs. The only part about it that's funny is when you still end up killing the guy. That always gives me a good laugh.

  • ramsey i totally agree there is this old online game called american army on PC quite decent but to shoot with a sniper or any other wepon hereyou have to have skill even the "noob tube"

  • I thought you were cool till I found out you were a cat owner, eww. Jk. Still one of the top ranters in my opinion. Prob wouldn't mind cats so much if they were actually kept as house pets not piss or leave paw prints on your neighbors freshly washed car pets.

  • @Delorean702 I never let my cats outside... I actually care about their well-being. *chuckle* There are too many people around that are far too happy to feed my cats antifreeze if I were to let them wander, so I keep them indoors.

  • On the subject of "noob tubes" i think they were annoying in mw2 when you could have an unlimited supply of ammo for it, combined with danger close as well. in cod 4 they weren't nearly as bad.

  • @tehwakokiid I will admit I'm slightly annoyed when I'm killed repeatedly with any kind of "tube" launcher. But, I have 2 easy solutions from which to chose:

    1. Fight fire with fire and bust out the tubes myself.

    2. Simply leave the lobby after the current match.

Always seems to solve my problems. *chuckle*

  • @RantingRamsay lol I usually just solve my problems by going back to cod 4 :D

  • @RantingRamsay bad signal it wont load

  • @RantingRamsay Hey curious about what your opinion is on the "war" that archfiend has out for thatsojack. I've already heard what UTF thinks about it and I was wondering if you think the same way or differently.

    Thank you for reading this

P.S. I haven't had the time to watch this video yet so if you might have mention it maybe I'm sorry and I'll check it out as soon as I'm able to

  • @birdman1592 I don't really have much of an opinion on it at all. Someone in my channel comments asked if I would do a video on the subject, and my response was that I would likely not, as there doesn't seem to be a need for it.

I tend to stay out of YouTube drama when I can, and since no one involved has asked my opinion or for my help I feel no need to get involved or even develop an opinion on the matter.

  • that burp was epic.

  • I just leave the game when they noobtube lol.

  • @IFightPriests As do I... or I "fight fire with fire" and pull out the tubes myself. Bad part for "them", I'm pretty handy with a 203 grenade launcher. *chuckle*

  • It doesn't matter on the weapon you use, what matters is the kill rate ratio. But hell what do I know, I don't play much FPS except PS2 SOCOM series.

  • @deadbloodlust Yeah, sometimes KD ratio matters. If you're playing an elimination-style game mode, or Team Death Match when collective kills wins, it certainly matters.

But in CoD game modes like Domination, Search and Destroy, or Headquarters, KD ratio doesn't really matter because respawns are infinite and game score doesn't calculate with kills.

But, yes, in SOCOM KD ratio is certainly very relevant. (Those are the games that got me into online fraggers to begin with)

  • Though I am absolutly ignorant when it comes to gaming, I found the background cat fight to be hilarious. I haven't been here long and I'm not going to pretend I know what the F is going on, but I NOW somehow believe what most videos lack in content is, well, a good cat fight.

  • But the noobtube is incredibly easy to get kills with and when a game breaks down and everyone is using it it isn't fun. Like the sawed off shotgun in GOW3 or dual 1887's or like you said a one shot sniper kill that isn't a headshot. I don't understand how you don't think certain weapons can be unbalanced. Like camping there are different types if someone spawns and lays down in the corner of a room staring at a doorway yes you're a cunt.

  • @James1803 Oh, I don't know. I've had a lot of fun in a full-on Tube War, when I was in a mood to take the game lightheartedly (which should be always but sometimes my "SRS BSNS!" side takes over...*chuckle*). Especially when my team is full of friends and compatriots. Many a time filled with riotous laughter during one of those "breakdowns" of which you speak.

But I also see how it could be annoying and suck the fun out of the room if I wasn't in the mood for it.

  • What do you think about the archfiends childish ass internet war?

  • @JasonTheContemptuous An archfiend hater are we? BLOCKED! How fucking dare you spew this putrid feces! ₮han₭$ £or ₩at₡hing!

  • @JasonTheContemptuous I don't really have any opinion on it. I try to avoid YouTube drama when possible, and since no one involved has tried to drag me into it I'm happy to remain without opinion.

  • I can already tell your a noob tuber ramsay, oooohhhh lawl pwn'dededed!!! you run n gun ramsay? Well, I run n gun with your moma!!!! PWNAGE!!!!!! ....................redneck georgian dumbass with the eyebrows.

  • @TheDirectorsOfGaming You run'n'gun with my mom? AWESOME, maybe she'll lighten up a bit now that she's gettin' some.

I'd invest heavily in some lube, though. She's post-menopausal...but I'm sure you've figured that out by now...*chuckle*

  • best part of this video are the cats it just portrays the anger so well

  • The higher the quality, the uglier you get, Ramsay :)

  • @iscrewy that's nawt nyce!

  • @TheArchfiendLive

    That's why it's funny.

  • @iscrewy No it isn't, I bet ramsay is hurting right now... you hear that crying? Yeah, that's ramsay.... see what you did bitch?

  • @iscrewy Good thing I'm already married, I guess. *chuckle*

  • I am so hypocritical with Call of Duty. I'll call someone a bitch, or having no skill by using certain weapons, but then I'll use them myself. I think with me it's just a heat of the moment kind of thing.

    1. The answer to this is pretty obvious but I'm guessing you also disagree with Smogon banning certain Pokemon from the Pokemon Wi-fi?

    2. I demand a recorded cat fight, lol

  • @ninetalescommander I really don't know anything about Pokemon. I've been pretty much ignoring Nintendo's existence for a while now. What they produce in gaming doesn't really appeal to me in any way shape or form anymore.

  • @RantingRamsay

Ok, then I shall give quick explanatory.

Basically Smogon are a website that are mega big on Pokemon in competitive play but they have banned the use of certain Pokemon on their forums as they claim them to be too powerful and can really ruin the game.

To be fair, they do say you are not forced to follow their rules and you can make your own rules if you choose but still, I don't think that's a good comeback as Smogon have thousands of loyal followers.

  • @RantingRamsay type 95 only need 2 shots of the 3 burst the player has 100 hp each bullet does 50 damage and my k/d goes way up when i use it just saying but agree with most of the stuff you said

  • @RantingRamsay Uh, duh that's what select fire means....

Yea but you don't see it that often in games. Especially the ultra popular COD series.

  • @RantingRamsay I guess it was sorta ignorant, but I just don't have a lot of trouble with them. By the way I had 3 questions:

    1. What games do you mainly play right now?

    2. Have you considered PC gaming?

    3. I have noticed with some of your videos such as this one, and the last one that you are taking something from an older video and now you are saying it again but you have some more words on this subject. Is that intentional?

  • Is the ciggerette always needed in almost all your videos?

  • @MrCrash570 gotta have my vitamin N

  • @RantingRamsay are you going to talk about that "e-cigarette" that's been a trend now adays?

  • @MrCrash570 It is his Brain Candy. :)

  • These "unwritten rules" are largely why I stay away from most online modes for games...I simply find how much people tries enforcing their rules on me very bothersome to the point of being a chore. I just dislike the communities at times...

  • @AndrewKelly01 I agree it looks better.

    @BlackRaven117 I didn't notice it either.

@RantingRamsay another thing I wish games had was select fire.

  • @ZerrickiShadow What do you mean by "select fire". Like, the ability for some weapons to switch from single-fire, to burst fire, to full auto? Games like SOCOM and Rainbow Six have had that option (and still do) for quite some time.

  • I refuse to use 'MLG' weapons in Halo, Because they suck, Generally. and so called 'noob' weapons, i use them, alot, because i like them, and kill quickly.

  • continued

technically if someone else did buy the game for you and gave it to you, then it is still your's, you can do what you please with it because it is a gift to you.

  • @ZerrickiShadow Saying "I paid my money" isn't meant to be so specific as to say "if you didn't pay for it it doesn't count." It is simply a way to convey the message that nobody else has the right to dictate how someone else should play a video game that they either paid for or was gifted to them (in other words, that they own).

  • famas in bf3 the grip is glitch, its too damn fast anyways

  • A good rant Ramsay, I love going against the "unwritten rules" just to piss some people off as I always say if its in the game then its fair game, and besides like you said a lot of the "noob" weapons are a bitch to use.

    BTW two quick points

    1) good to see new meaning to the term "cat fight"

    2) I think you should stick with whatever you've changed the lighting etc it looks much better than previous videos.

  • @AndrewKelly01 The difference is between recording during daylight hours, and after the sun has gone down. That, and it's a new camera.

  • @RantingRamsay That would explain it. But still great.

  • Oh cool another side of Ramsay's apartment...ahh holy shit look at all those piercings. Never saw those before

Your cats fighting sounds like when I fuck my girlfriend.

But on to the video, yea people need to chill the fuck out on grenade launchers, or rocket launcher. I wouldn't say they take skill, I don't think video games take "skill" at all. I think they are all pretty damn easy. Also you bring up that you can do whatever you want with the product because you bought it, well

  • @ZerrickiShadow Saying that video games don't take any skill to play well is actually a fairly ignorant statement. Numerous studies have been done that link advanced hand-eye coordination to people who play video games. Also, to play certain types of games take advanced problem-solving skills, memory retention, not to mention the fact that some games with 3D rendering require an understanding of spacial relationships. (continued)

  • In addition to those points, the games themselves take repetition and practice to become skilled at, especially in the realm of multiplayer shooters, in which there is a human element thrown into the game that can be very random and amorphous when it comes to having to adapt to new strategies and tactics to get the win, which takes logic and reasoning powers. Not to mention team-work skills (which are admittedly very rare in online games)

  • What is this? A Ranting Ramsay video in HD? I had no clue you had Brow Piercings.

  • @BlackRaven117 New cameras can work wonders. *chuckle*

  • I thought that was like sound effects to a video game when your cats where fighting

  • Another one: The Energy Sword in Halo 2.
