I want to compliment that she spoke fluently and she was descriptive in her speech. I have to do this same thing she did this April. I aam so worried and nervous.

It didn't take her 6 months. It took 4 years!

She started back in April of 2007. The contest was April 30, 2011. It took her 4 years. She's a smart kid, but she's not superman.

Nu-uh. Six months???? What?!?!?! My goodness!!! Did she do nothing else the entire time??? (No sleeping, no eating...) I still only know how to read and write, say some basic phrases, and recognize certain words. And my pronunciation is far from authentic. ;_;

Because she's enthusiastic to learn the language,she's able to learn it in the span of 6 months.I'm learning the language for 6 months and counting.I can say that I can have a conversation with koreans but I'm afraid i don't use sophisticated korean words which koreans will be impressed if I do.So for now,flashcards are with me everywhere I go.ㅋㅋㅋ

impressive! i'm Taiwanese but we have a lot of korean drama shows that gets played here. not that i speak or understand korean fluently but she sounds just like the tv shows. :-)
