That was pretty awesome. I liked the two parts of the song that you used all the strings with a finger walk up and down. It's hard to find anybody that can play songs that really come to life anymore. Mostly everything is just bland or just ok. But that was pretty good. Keep up the good work and use all the notes as you can and then to make it all come to together throw a couple of chords in it.
@rikoginete ..lol...i dont really hate women.... i enjoy a man v woman type of banter with my partner...laugh at the way women do things...and she laughs at typical bloke things its quite light hearted and fun....... i enjoy your clips though...very good
Goes to show, it's all about the player, not the guitar, although I own a Danelecto Baratone which is one of my favorites. Perhaps I should put it this way, it wouldn't matter if this guy was playing a Danelectro or a $10K Custom Hollowbody. It would still sound good. Who knows, maybe the Danelectro would sound better.
Hi Luke, what kind of guitars are there in the background.
By the way those danelectro's i love them so much i've got 3 already can't stop buying them, got the same one as you but with select o matic switch :-)
Ya got that great "semi-hollow" tone the 335 gets. On a DANO! Yeah, man... this one had me bobbin my head, eyes closed and finger snapping. Very Top-Shelf stuff! 5+ stars
I had the same Dano, same color, only one neck pickup. Bought it new in 1959 in Brockton MA. Had lots of fun with that guitar, but the neck bowed within six years, or so, and traded it for a Gibson acoustic guitar. Never knew they could sound so good. Excellent playing and even better tone.
This is great. I was looking for a video of Jazz on a Danelectro and this came up. I was playing a Dano and was pondering whether I should buy it as a Jazz guitar. Now I definitely will.
Can this guitar handle distortion well? 'Cause the clean tone is AMAZING, but I'd like to have distortion as an option. I might just buy it for its clean tone!
All those youtoob shred clowns can kiss my ass! This is what great guitar playing is all about, awesome stuff and so many styles on all your videos keep 'em coming!
Incredible. Who are your influences for this Jazz/Blues style of playing?
This is one of the styles I want to learn how to play!! So far I'm leaning towards a Blues/ Blues-Rock style of playing but would love to get into various other types including the beautiful sound your playing.
Aaah - the sound of Masonite! I used to sell these guitars and I would use them to illustrate how an inexpensive guitar into a great amp sounded....great! Of course, it helps that you're playing great as well, Luke!
Very nice playing!!! And very nice sounding Dano too, these guitars are all wrong, they're not suppost to work!! hahaha But just listen to them, they just sound right in any kind of musical situation! Great!
I tell ya, this Luke Cyrus guy can really play! I always look in to see if he's uploaded anything new. You sure can make that old Dano sing, Luke. Keep on-a-playin'.
Very nice! I'm not a jazz guy at all but I really liked that :)
I'm impressed with how responsive that guitar is to your playing. At 0:50 and about 1:07, if I wasn't watching your hands, I would swear you switched pickups. Great stuff. I need to go down the the guitar shop now and take a closer look at the ol' Danos :)
This tone ( a tone as good as this ) is hard to find, or maybe it's just the good playing and catchy bass line that is responsible for the good vibes. I'm still going to ask, is the Danelectro going straight to the amp ( in that case, what amp is it going to? ) The tone is just incredible.
nice. i have a dark purple u-2. im pretty sure its a '56 or '57 and i love it. i got it for 100 bucks because it had some chips and scratches and it plays and sounds great. yous sounds really nice and you play great. nice vid.
I never had the guitar refretted, but I'm pretty sure that happened at a certain point, it's had its 51st birthday this year. The frets are a good size, you're right.
i love it because it sounds true

But I'm sure they have the reissues in german shops.
