  • i'm adopting one this weekend!!!

  • is that in costco???????

  • My umbrella cockatoo we recently adopted talks, at the moment he's learing his newest words, " I love you!". He sings opera..

  • She's adorable. And very well-behaved.

  • Eeeeeeeehhh

  • take the fucking chain off its neck!

  • @0mgithuge It's a harness, not a chain. They are made of nylon with metal rings or fasteners (although I have one that is exclusively nylon with only a plastic adjuster). Birds can learn to wear them just as a dog learns to wear a collar, and it is much safer if you take your bird out, even if the wings are clipped.Even a clipped bird can fly a lot further than one might think, and possibly end up in danger because they are flying in panic and are not aware of where the are going.

  • @ mybudgiejasper ur name tells it all lol

  • When I am experienced enough, I would love to have a cockatoo. Right now I have a budgie named Jasper!

  • ku ku klan!!! in action

  • Im hit

  • cockatoo's are very attached to owners too, once they stay with you long enough.

i seen on tv once, on harry's practice, a cockatoo, lost his owner to heart failure, and his son, took the bird, and the bird started ripping his feathers out, and due to that, he needed to keep the parrot with him at ALL times, otherwise he'd eventually have nothing left to rip apart, other then himself.

so yeh, dont get one, unless you know you have time on your hands, theyre harder to take care of then kids.

  • Was that Finnish?

  • @Grendel938 Yes

  • @TheAntelwi Thanks.

  • @Grendel938 Well, in Finland, they call it "Suomi". I think the only reason they have "F"'s in Finland is because of Sweden. I am assuming, however, that that was Suomi.

  • @LadyeXo Oh, I didn't know that. I only know a little Finnish/Suomi and I've forgotten all the Swedish I studied.

  • Sounds like a laser beam xD

  • The only trouble with cockatoos is that they can scream so loud that they can actually make your eyes water.

  • @smokiebird06 better than my mom's screams that is for sure, infact they cannot be compared at all.

  • I had an umbrella cockatoo, but rehomed it because the screaming was almost non-stop. These birds are WAY too loud.

  • hyi katoin eka et toi oli joku lelu :-D

  • soo funny!! and i love that yellow moving thing on his head!?

    ehhh!!

  • @670chris076 called a crest. xD Wonderful bird!!

  • is she scared...???

  • BATTLE CRY! LOLOLOLOL!

  • i used to have a cockatoo......she was MEAN :[ u couldnt hold her without her cursing (she learned it from previouse owner) and biting and she loved to scream like a fire alarm at 1:00AM in the morning

  • What kind of cocatoo is this? If you dont mind my asking.

  • @callethathegreat sulfur crested

  • @callethathegreat sulfur-crested

  • Your bird is so adorable!

  • It just says: "Eeyeyeyeyeyeyeyy" :P

  • that neck, wow, i wanna be yoir parrot

  • I am lucky enough to have these on my property in the thousands, in the wild. I dont need to have one as a caged or tethered pet. Very clever, but very noisy birds.

  • Do you have that bird on a leash?

  • Hehehe. I love the laugh XD

  • Awww cute bird. How did you get him use to wearing the harness. My bird is scared of it.

  • when his yellow feathers go up it means he's not comfy or angry

when its down hes glad and going "down town" :D

  • This parent looks really, really happy and healthy. Good on the owners!

  • I once saw a parrot at a pet store, I said "popcorn" and then it said "popcorn" XD

  • I HAVE TO LIVE WITH THESE LOUD THINGS

  • Tämä on yksi söpö kakadu! Toivoisin oli yksi =(

  • So cute! I really want cockatiel, but maybe someday i will have the opportunity to own one of these beautiful birds!! :D

  • @cousinproductions100 i own one but there sooooo loud!!!!!!

  • I'm wondering where he learned from

  • It sounds like an alarm bell. Lol

  • They're speaking finnish? :D

  • @sarryk00 yes

  • BEAUTIFUL bird!

  • Anyone who thinks these sounds are random or fake is wrong. Australian Cockatoos are highly intelligent and can not only say words or names but can speak entire phrases! They are also very social and curious and are great problem solvers! Love them!!!

  • Cute bird! ^_^

  • my friend has 1 same species...& no its not fake..no need to fake them when theres real ones, theres even 1 on youtube that does math problems and more.

  • lol

  • he looks so cheeky and naughty : ) and has fun

  • Cockatoos are companion birds that require TONS of effort and attention. You have to do a LOT of pre-study before you can own and care for a large parrot. DO NOT get one unless you really want to deal with a lot of trouble involved!

  • @Halpin2006 and u gotta worry about the poo

  • @Halpin2006 I agree 100%. I have an umbrella cockatoo. Although I love him with all my heart, it is like having a 2 year old that will NEVER grow up. They aren't like a cat who is self sufficient, or a finch that you can't really hold. These guys need loads of attention and care. They require tremendous amouts of patience. If you'r thinking of getting one, borrow someone's child and let them throw food all over your home, scream in tantrums, and demand your attention. It's about the same.

  • @Halpin2006 Great advice! I have a Citron Cockatoo. I love her to death, but don't think I could have handled a parrot when I was younger and wasn't settled down yet. They're not good birds for apartments and they're expensive to keep....you have vet bills (not all vets treat birds so it's good to find a specialist), toys, food, and the cage alone is a major expense.

  • @LSB16 , Yes, you must find a good AVIAN vet before you get a parrot!

  • can you get smaller birds to gain experience? For example a budgie?

  • @kitzlaihel Get a budgie because you want a budgie, not as training for a bigger bird. In the end the bird would just suffer because you don't want it for it, but something else.

  • @Halpin2006 agreed, also people need to remember that these Sulphur Crested cockatoos can live up to 80 years.

when you buy them here in Australia some pet bird shops ask you what you plan is for when YOU get old and the bird is only "middle aged", some people get offended but its actually a good question.

  • @hot318 I understand. As a middle aged couple with young Greys, we are currently trying to make plans for the future of our babies. It is sad to think about, but it is a reality that must be faced. Anyone who does not like the question is someone who is not thinking of their birds and is not planning for their bird's welfare, and should not be buying one.

  • @hot318 Well done aussie twat!!!

  • @CygnusSkyfire : Then it can't be everything then.

  • That's so funny

It sounds like the old Nokia ringtone

  • Ow that sounds funny :D

    Is 'Päivää' finnish?

  • lmao that was such a random noise, i luv it

  • lol xD

  • yep shes scared of her own parrot rofls

  • cute. but what is that thing on her (or him!) chest?

  • its a parrot harness

    i want a bird now!!

  • @KiMiix0x I have an umbrella cockatoo. Although I love him with all my heart, it is like having a 2 year old that will NEVER grow up.
