In fact, the reasons are numerous, the paying of the Anbar Sunnis, the infighting within militias and the Turkish aggression have had more impact than the 30,000 additional troops.

Furthermore, even with the lull in violence, the stated purpose of the "surge", that is to allow political progress, has failed miserably.
And get some better material that saying Olbermann is a sportscaster. Ad hominem attacks, while funny, don't do much to refute arguments.
