took me 20 minutes to figure out, and now I feel pretty dumb. The switches/bulbs are both part of the same circuit, which has to be engaged in 1-2-3-4 order. After this is done, it remembers which switches engage which bulbs. If either a bulb or switch is removed, the circuit is reset and waits for the magician to re-engage in 1-2-3-4 order, after which switches can be pressed in any order.
@avsti Close, but not quite there yet. You are correct about the switch order. You program the order by closing the switches in the correct lamp sequence. So, the first switch you should close is the switch that has the color of lamp #1 (lamp on the far right in this vid). The next switch you close has to be the switch with the color of lamp #2, etc... Resetting is done by turning switch #4 (switch on the right) off LAST of all switches. You can now rearrange the caps/lamps and reprogram it.
@avsti Well, when doing it your way, you'd need sensors to detect the presence of a lightbulb/cap. Now, that's not hard to do, but my way saves me a lot of work, and the trick still works. :)
hi friend, please help me, I did my version for a project but I have problems with my PIC program, if possible please show me your program because the link is not working. Thanks
Those are just regular switches you'd find in every home. I got them in a hardware/home improvement store. I modified them a little so you can lift the cap over the switch (by sawing the inside of the cap out using a bandsaw). After that, I just spray-painted the caps.
The song is called "Mad World" and the rick is easy to understand and duplicate when you've seen it a few times done by diferent people. However I love this trick.
dude i thought i knew everthing but this is unbelievable. also i like the song. what is the name of the song. and make a video on how to make one of these.alright see ya
I'm interested in how to build it. I'm a magician and I think is incredible. I know how it works. Do you have the information in english? And I'd like the circuit diagrams also.
I thought you where about to pull my head off as soon as you saw it, because it looked a lot like yours... :)
I really liked your video and when I finally knew how the trick works (don't worry, it took me 3 days and 2 friends of mine to actually figure it out.....), I just had to build my own version of it.
If you don't want me to keep the video up, just tell me so. ;)

@TheCrazyInventor huh. That certainly corresponds to the video. I wonder what advantage it has over what I suggested?

Where did you get the switches. I saw another pic where it looks like you used a modified light switch also. Would love to get those.

Gotta tell me how you did this. I am an electrician by trade and an electronics geek at leisure, but this has me stumped. please share

Hey, where can we find the schematic for this?
Really cool

Great job on the video! I'd like the circuit diagram. I'm an electrician and a magician.

I feel honored that some copied the style of my video. I would be pissed if you didn't make it a video response to mine. Keep up the good work

I thought making this a video response to your video was the least I could do. ;)
