  • super :) Prawie jak w Rosji ;

    )

  • Wow

  • Nice but isn't it nicer in +30 degrees celcius ?

beach , bikini's hot sun etc...

    nice voice in the "background"

  • yayayaa i live here haha

  • awesome

  • amazing how not even once do we see the beaker filled with water before she throws it in air.

its called trick, pour boiling water in a beaker then switch it with an identical beaker with snow and throw it in air...TADA

  • Is it evaporating or freezing?

  • water evaporates when it's boiled...

  • good :D

  • This time Kristen and I went Aurora Hunting while in Yellowknife and the camera turned to her! Search: Kristen: Light Surfer - A Spectacular Northwest Territories Story

  • After seeing this I guess I shouldn't whine anymore about the -2C we have here... :)

  • I did this and I threw it over my head and burnt my scalp. But most of it did evaporate!

  • In what temperature would you recommend doing this? :D It would be awesome to try it. :DD

  • @blaabla2 below 0 deg Celsius

  • @blaabla2 I tried this at - 25, it was about 5 degrees to "warm" to become perfect :)

  • It is freezing. The reason it is so light so fog like is because it freezes instantly, creating small ice crystals instead of big snow flakes that turn to ice at a slower rate. Also hot water has more energy from being heated so that energy is then used to freeze the water faster...but I might be wrong on that one, it is just something I heard a while ago :)

  • aaaahahaha i will experiment this in the next 20 min!

    outside it's below 0 degrees!

  • OH MY GOD I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE THIS IS SO A-FUCKIN-MAZING WATER TURNS TO STEAM

  • Kristen, the australian voice is in Yellowknife right now! What do you want to see next?

  • the only fun u can have up there!

  • what's with people and magic these days? i mean is like EVERYONE going to Hogwarts now a days?

  • @XxShiloh You see physics is working everywhere. No Hogwart here.

  • LOL!!!! I like that

  • I want to try that, but I live in Australia :c

  • Why am i thinking that it actually turns into snow?

  • I would try that, but I live in Miami.....

  • like j2pohlsander: that is condesation and if there would be -30 C you wouldn't stay only with your coat on you or what it is, nothing on head and without gloves.

  • @denisx304 at -30 I do stay only with my coat outside... it's depends if you are use to it or not.

  • Fus Ro Dah?

  • That's not evaporation. That's condensation.

  • @j2pohlsander That's not condensation. Condensation is going from gas to liquid. The water is already liquid. That's freezing. It just looks like "fog" because the ice crystals are so small. Either way, it's definitely not evaporation either.

  • خل يجون عندنا في الصيف ويشوفون الثلج شلون يتبخر في اقل من ثانيه

  • This is so cool. It's good that I'm here in Canada to try it sometime!

  • News Update: The Australian voice on this video is coming back to Yellowknife for a visit in January!

  • @samantha683 thats amoizing

  • ياخي البرد اللي عندنا يشق العظم

  • Lovely I wanna be there

  • That's so cool. XD I've only seen snow 3 times in my 21 years of life. I'm in such a warm place. That's awesome.

  • خخخخخخ فعلا الواحد لو زغل في هالجو كيف بيكون وضع زغولته ؟ هههههههه 

  • Beautiful scenery and beautiful weather and beautiful

  • ya want me to try it here in Texas? :p

  • @icebiggice do it!

  • @icebiggice 3rd degree burns is just as cool.

    Go for it.

    Ron Paul 2012

  • Its fun and nice :)

  • its not evaporating... its solidifying into small particles

    but cool vid =)

  • نحمد الله على نعمة الجو الي عندنا

  • lol, aweeee yeahhh, thats our country, Canada

  • wow i wonder what happens when u pee O_o

  • Lol arabic... O.o !

  • eyyy go back to the kitchen

  • Wooow

  • Oh my god, you should buy a heater for your kitchen, how can you make sandwiches in such a place?

  • Not funny :(

  • I live in HK. I can't play Evaporating Water in -30C. lol

  • Thats abaaazing ,, thats coool >>> LMAO

  • then what happens when you pee outside?

  • the Latitude thing is almoust the same as the city Oulu in middle/north Finland. But it is not so cold as in Yellowknife. I love the Gulf stream <3

  • my nips got cold just watching this video. you guys are strong

  • Thats my old neihbour ! lol i didnt even notice the red toyata is ours!

  • @MsLafferty15 haha, yep, that's me!

  • wow

  • WOW!! snow dust O_O

  • @halalmash , Snow Dust? I've never heard snowflakes called that before. ಠ_ಠ

  • WOoOW خقق المقططططعع

  • Haha u guys are crazy :) in a good way of course.. Happy Holidays everyone

  • ههههههههههه فلللله

  • Evaporation is when the liquid reaches a higher temperature and turns into the gas form - in this case it isn't evaporation but a phase transition from liquid to solid, since it's so cold there. Still super COOL no matter what it's called! :)

  • What is evaporation? Exactly...

Have you actually seen evaporation, and where does an actual point of evaporation begin? What is Physics?

  • WoooW..I want 2 go there

  • WITCH

  • 

  • Thats sooooo cool, I wanna try it her in LA but I would just scald myself badly : )

  • برد اح مااقدر

  • Wow, that's Yellowknife? I imagined more dog sleds and igloos. How do you even drive a car out every winter???

  • @kovona We have roads, houses and businesses such as Wal-Mart and Tim Hortons (sure signs of civilization). Our population is approx. 20,000 people and they come to live here from all over the world.

  • @samantha683 Does the snow melt in the summer?

  • @kovona Yes, we have beautiful summers with 24 hours of daylight.

  • @samantha683 is there ever 24 hours of night-time? o:

  • Waw

  • lol lets have a watergun war guys

  • Sobhan. Allah

    Greatness Alllah

  • i would do that for hours

  • that cup is amazing O.o

  • haha when you said that's amazing it made me laugh so much! ;)

  • How can you stand... live...

  • it is freezing! not evaporating! heat must be added for evaporation, whereas in -30 heat is removed causing it to freeze

  • where I live its still over 100 degrees Fahrenheit out (40 degrees Celsius) in the middle of October... :'(

  • I live stateside and have been trying to move to Canada for years i'll freeze for a job and for some evaporating water anytime

  • so cool

  • يهب ياوجهها

  • lol, you can do this with the temperatures in Oakville, ON (it's right below toronto)

  • cool,,we came from cuba to live in canada,,,,this is so cool,,what a diferences only a few hours flying eh,,

  • @GxTT4 why so much hate?

  • i love your accent! :)

  • It's condensing, not evaporating.

    Greeting from Toronto.

  • How does that thing boil water, without being plugged in? Canada is amazing!

  • @Iamnutsy haha...you are nutsy! This is why i don't have a toque or mitts on...boiled water, unplugged the kettle and ran outside.

  • @Iamnutsy Maybe because she boiled it before she brought it outside.

  • @GxTT4 No word of a lie...sometimes we can be +25/+30C while the rest of Canada is at +10/+15C and raining.

  • OMG! Who ever showed you that?

  • Sam, Sam, Samantha. Look around you. You have thrown to many boil water. Look at those vehicles. Sam Sam. XD

  • Que friaca!

  • que espectacular jajja de verdad

  • sweeet :D

  • Is it warm there in the summer?

  • @Patriik23 Yes, summer is awesome about the 60th parallel, we have 24 hours daylight!

  • @samantha683 what temperature do you call summer ?

  • @bladerj I'd say +20C is a good indication of summer anywhere. Otherwise, summer is when the snow is all melted and baseball season starts!

  • @samantha683 i come from the tropicos, and when i went to europe my friend said to bring warm cloths cos it was summer...when i was there, their summer was more a chilling day here.thats why i wanted to know, lol.

  • @samantha683 in Alice springs, australia winters are 20C and summers can get up to 50C

  • va händer me könshåren

  • SideDriver. Drive allways.

  • why water at room temperature is not used? Does it have to be boiling water?

  • Also I'm wondering why you like the bitter cold up there? Isn't it painful to the face? For me in NYC 10-20ºF (-12ºC to -6ºC) and 10-20 mph winds (16-32 km/h) are absolute TORTURE. This video make me appreciate summer while its here and is making me dread the eventual arrival of winter. Ew.

  • @Maserati7200 I like it here, it's a dry cold, work is close by (no commute) and as long as you are dressed for it you can stay out all night and watch the aurora borealis (northern lights).

  • @samantha683 hmm someday I'll be there to enjoy this cool weather and surely the awesome aurora borealis, I hate summer and we have >120 degrees F here for nearly 8 months of the year!! max lowest temperature goes to 40 degrees F and that's only for a week or so if we got lucky lol!

  • @Maserati7200 Being from the east coast(Nova Scotia) and never having seen anything colder than about -1F before I moved to North West Ontario(it gets plenty cold here too,) I can quite honestly say I'll take -40 any day of the week over damp miserable east coast winter weather.

  • ...and i thought NYC was too cold.

  • the girl which says "thats crazy " has awesome voice :D

  • Lol, im gonna try that! I live in Norway, here it gets to about -20. hope it works.

  • experiment impresionant ,ati ramane uimiti daca ati urmari si filmuletul meu

  • Girl in the background, you sound so sexy when laughing!

    Nice trick thou...

  • Physics are awesome!

  • Thats Pretty Dope! I lived There for 10 years I love it!

  • fake

  • @zipmeat lol. UMAD? i live in russia. It is not fake.

  • where the fuck are your gloves woman ?

  • @MegaStupid1111 You live somewhere warm, don't you?

  • Well, this shot is entertaining, but let us take it more seriously. Water is an effective component of alternative energy. Instead of using it to entertain ourselves, let us alternatively take another options for entertainment collectively. This way we'll enjoy, and contribute on the other hand economizing in the use of Water (Which will somehow bother us sooner of later if we keep using it overmuch). I hope this consciousness will not be individuality... I'm sure! ;)

  • Physics are always awesome

  • Is this what they do for fun in Canada?

  • I don't even want to know how cold -30 celsius is in fahrenheit

  • @brwalsh827 -27 degrees?

  • that is awesome

  • i dunno but i think i read from a science textbook that boiling water FREEZES FASTER than cold water in cold air.

  • How did you know that would happen? :O

  • My home town.. Right in this video :)

  • FAKEEEEE.......jk

  • Ain't Yellowknife the second coldest town in Canada? I think Iqualuit Nunavut is the coldest if I'm correct.

  • @Prygst what time of year? We've been the hottest in Canada several times in the summer and although cold, we enjoy a dry winter with little snow and sunny clear blue skies. In the winter the Aurora shimmers on a cool dark night, it makes me happy. I love where I live. Thanks for watching!

  • @samantha683 sounds lovely there :D

  • @Prygst If you look at the average january temperatures in Canada it seems that Yellowknife is one of the absolute coldest. The daily average low temperature is -31 degrees...every day in january.

I´m from sweden and I can tell you that we havn´t got any place here that is even close to this...

  • ههههههه 

  • Man, I love my country(Canada)

  • Isnt that condensation not evaporation...

  • so cool!

  • I don't see how this is so crazy. My family and I do this all the time during the winter here up in Minnesota.

  • how did u do that?

  • @9soccerplayr it was a modern act of witchcraft...

  • @samantha683 so its fake? XDD

  • @samantha683 hahaha loved the comment

  • @9soccerplayr don't let them trick you that's not magic. that's science and the nature.

  • يابعري ياجونا 

  • i heard an austrailian

  • hey that chick was aussie

  • What is it about Canadians and Australians that they get so well together? I've never heard arguing between the 2, (unlike Canadians and Americans which I thought were "best friends")?

  • @Poufkimashoula1

They may be from the other side of the world, but they have much more in common with Canada.

Common sense and a landmass which is inhospitable for a portion of the year comes to mind....and the social issues which America is decades behind either country.....

  • Lol I live in Yellowknife and after I saw this video in the winter when it was -28 I tried this. It's so cool! :D

  • yellowknife is awsome

  • Thats blown my mind! Can anyone who knows about physics tell how that is happening?

  • @aaron87a Spilled water will evaporate faster than the same amount of water in a glass because the surface of water exposed to air is wider. When you throw your hot - more likely to evaporate - water in the air you give it maximum exposure to air so it evaporates pretty fast, especially in a very dry air. Now the cold makes the water vapor just formed condense in tiny droplets that freeze. So what you see here is water being liquid, gas, liquid and finally solid in about a second.
