Wow! This is only 2-3 months older than I am(I was born July 93'). I first started watching him when I was 12 or 13, when he was still doing Late Night.
wow hes so young here....any1 know how old he is in this interview, i mean talk about baby face lol.
leno was a bit arrongant for making conan feel uneasy by sayin the replacing legends thing.....i geuss now everyone hating him now for returning back to The Tonight Show is just karma biting him on the backside... to think i actually pitied this guy when everyone in the showbusiness from larry king to jimmy kimmel was slating/humiliating him publically..bck in '93 he had done it to 1st to conan!
at 4:10 its funny to hear him talk about how he dreamed of hosting The Tonight Show, and didnt even think it would happen 17 years later. damn shame it lasted all of 7 months
@Seston I think everybody was gonna tune into the New Late Night, no matter how bad he seemed. That trend continues to today, same thing happened/still happens with Fallon. people wna tune in to see someone crash and burn more than someone succeed. And you should know that Conan was heavily criticized for the first few years of his show for being this rambling, nervous, awkward guy.
@Potatosaladgirl Is it just me, or was there something kind of smarmy and unpleasant about the way he said that? Perhaps later events are coloring my perceptions, but Leno just seems creepy, and like he's trying to kind of make Conan more nervous or uncomfortable.
@lguerrra2 I don't know, but I wouldn't put it past Leno to already be plotting Conan's demise. But you're right, he said it pretty smugly. I will never understand why people even like that guy. Whenever I see him I feel like I just want to glue his enormous chin to the bumper of one of his thousands of cars, start it up, and put a brick on the gas petal. XD
@Potatosaladgirl Haha. Violent. ;-) Whenever I see him just kinda get a crawly feeling and feel like I need a shower. I almost think it would be funnier if you glued his chin to the bumper and then just left him there: "-- hehe, hey, could somebody help me out here, hehe? I, uh, I seem to be stuck to this bumper, hehe--" *people point and laugh, then keep walking* xD
@Potatosaladgirl Actually, 3 times, He ran Johnny Carson out of a job, David Letterman (Took The Tonight Show away) and of course, Conan O'Brien (Gave Conan bad ratings, and ran him out of the Tonight Show)
Poor Conan. Letterman was never very funny but Conan is just a complete tool.
