Percent, on average.... In 2008, 2009 you could get average 500E for around 4-6000€ still in germany, today in 2011 not a single one under 10.900€ available.

@ChristianCohn That's more like 50%, but is this just for the 500E/E500 or also for all other W124? My favorite is the 500E but the other W124 look good too.

Yes thats why i said "on average"... the are years where the prices keep the same level and then within 1-2 years go up 50% at once... I watched prices for this baby since 2002 or so...

Look out for an E420, but they are also still expensive but well under 10.000€. If you don't need a V8, look for an E320 automatic, they are "almost" as quick as the E420s up to around 100-120kp/h - then the really V8 kicks in.

@DirtyFreaks I'd say just cars in quite good condition (for collectors). cars with smaller engines, high mileage and obviously used condition can be much cheaper than 10.000 €. It's dependent from the collectors value of the car (rarity, condition). ... They don't just look good, they are fine to drive. (Not forgetting the mainenance. It is still a car of the upper middle class)

Yes 140.000 something DM as base price without any extra equipment, but the base price raised every year a few 1000DM. So at the End in 1995 it was over 155.000DM as base price, IIRC.

Mine has had a total price in 1992 of over 160.000DM, with all the options i have.

Ich liebe dieses Auto. Ich möchte ein, seit dem ich zwölf bin. Nur reicht das Geld dafür noch nicht. Momentan muss ich mich mit seinem ''kleinen'' Bruder zufrieden geben, einer C 280 von 95. Die Ähnlichkeit ist vorn, und wenn man das obere Bremslicht weg denkt, auch hinten nahezu identlisch. Schöne Bauweise, super Auto. Power in allen Lebenslagen. Auch wenn ich gern einen 500er Handschalter haben möchte, dieses Auto wird irgendwann mein !!!!

...gerade wenn er so schön und unverbastelt daherkommen soll, wie das Exemplar im Video, kann die Suche einige Zeit in Anspruch nehmen. In meinem Fall waren es drei Jahre. Die Geduld hat sich aber gelohnt! :-))))
