  • Did you ever fly further than a hundred yards? Find a place without TREES an keep trying. Remember! RC planes don´t like trees. Or lampposts or anything like that!

  • look at all the trees ,,duhhhhhh

  • The radio looks like one for cars. You need one for air as it was designed to transmit into the sky

The ones for cars do not get very far when looking for a Tx that is off the ground.

also find some slope lift and that plane will fly for hours. It can be repaired

  • You broke a very good glider, it's mournful.

I have one for a long time. I use a small .19 glow and soaring by 15min. without fuel.

  • wow I never seen this, cool. I cant believe you actually got a photo of a cap 232, Because thats what I got, maybe thats a fluke. :-)

  • or, maybe i knew what plane you had (or the brand, though i actually forget now) and searched it, then recogonized the picture :O

    :D

  • the tail surfaces are the elevator and rudder not ailerons and rudder!!!!

  • yea, he told me so next day - forgive my ignorance ;)

  • Fair play....

I guess it was fun, nonetheless.

    ;-)

  • can't quite speak with the knowledge of an rc freak, i'm just the camera man (look up fordxxxt)

but the main reason we were in that somewhat confined space of grass was because the main oval was taken up by a cricket game (pfft, first day of flyable weather too)

the car remote worked fine, since there were only two channels to control (no propulsion, just ailerons and rudder). he used it because thats just what happened to be lying around the house (cost = 0)

  • Flying the plane in a confined space, close proximity to trees etc is also pretty stupid & asking for trouble & whats with using a 'car' radio on a aircraft!! Dumb!

  • I new what I was doing, I made sure to use my JR radio. There is nothing wrong with that. And after studying how thermals work I found out how I could have saved that crash too. I also fly 3D profile planes.

  • type in 'Great Planes Fling' and watch my vid

  • flying a glider with a car remote! your making it well difficult for yourself!, I think it's time to get a new remote as well as a new plane 3ch glider ;-) nice day out by the look of it though.
