Hi I remember some folks there! I was in Curundu in '88 but I had friends in Balboa. I sure miss those days. I am not sure about the letters but I know when I went to Balboa in '90..the bulldog was destroyed by the principal's son (can not remember his name). His son got drunk and went to the school and busted the bulldog..and NEVER got in trouble for it. He wouldn't--his father was the Principal.
Balboa & Curundu look like crap. Sad to see fond memories rusting away...
I saw my locker! This is great footage! Qhat happened to the BHS letters out front of the school? I know there was vandalism; some jerk smashed the letters and the statue; did they ever catch who did it? It's sad to see the school without those two symbols of BHS. If anyone has more 80's vids please upload! By the way I was at the BHS auditorium in Sept 06 and everything looks dingy and unkempt, and the school is badly lit at night and conisdered a "bad" part of town. Sad!

People look back on those days because they "peaked" at that age...if your greatest achievement in life was being on the football team or deluding yourself in to thinking everyone knew you or cared if u lived or died...guess what...you are most likely workig some by the hour job living paycheck to paycheck. The ones that left are the lucky ones.

CZ means Canal Zone, Balboa as in Panama City, Panama, former CZ, attended by US military, Panamanian and Embassy kids back in the 80's.
