You can travel that far in under a second without mods. How? Find a monster spawner, have it spawn mobs into a water flow which pulls it out of its radius and into a 1x1 area, wait until theres like 1000 mobs in that 1 block area, push them into a corner with pistons, and then touch the corner that they are all poking out of. You basically get teleported in whatever direction your looking

i said this before and ill say it again. you can go much faster than than in VANILLA minecraft. using mob repulsion physics and ice floors you can travel that distance in a split second. it has been tested and proven on video. sadly i cant find the video any more but if you have a good enough server id be delighted to prove it.

I just replicated a portion of this track (100 blocks). I used sticky pistons for the floor, as visible in this video. Although, if this is default, that block does not exist.
