It's ok, I've just tracked it down as 'Direct Raul Services'. The reason I asked is it just passed me as I was crossing our little branch Line at Rainford Junction (we still have semaphore signals). It was unusual as al we normally get is one DMU an hour on it's way to the next, and terminal, station, Kirkby. It was at the rear of a consist that had an engine, some kind of yellow technical looking vehicle, then 37611 at the rear. Any ideas?
