Lol this is hilarious! I feel kind of sorry for the little ponies though, having to carry such big riders...

and about the Shetland arguement... maybe they can gallop that fast, maybe they can't, but no pony that small with a rider that big could ever gallop fast or long, that's what makes the whole "need more speed" thing make sense to everyone, not just ppl who know about breed-specific speed traits...

my ponies canter is around 3mph so not far off and his gallop is around 50mph! lol its kinda obvious this advert is untrue as these ponies whether they are shetland ponies or welsh ponies couldbe either! arent slow because they arent they arent even in a trot :S in gallop they can REALLY go i know my pony has caught upto a 14hh athletic mare who is beleives to have some arab in her

Your pony can't gallop 50mph. That would be a record breaking speed...I think some QHs can get that or close to that during a sprint, but otherwise....TBs can't even get 50mph on the racecourse.

haha yeh real funny and untrue so therefore aint funny.... try and make something true so its effective and makes someone actualy laugh..shetland are designed for speed and have smooth and small joints and can aparently gallop 60mph in the snow!!! maybe if they used say a cob or cold blooded horse it would be more funny as they really are slow!

haha no. shetlands are designed for keeping warm in the snow, and pshhh no, shetlands can't gallop 60mph, especially in the snow. and there is a cob at my barn who can outrun a shetland, so don't call them slow!
