@Cato2005 That's Allan Moffat. He won the Hardie-Ferodo 500 motor race in 1970 and 71, and was a bit of a star at the time this ad was made. He was Peter Brocks great rival as I recall, as Moffat drove Fords and Brock Holdens. Moffat was born in Canada and came to live in Oz in the early 60's.

I Remember this when I was growing up in the 70's. The Victa 500 Twin 170cc mower is now a Collector's Item. Don't sell it Guys. And yeah Awesome Commercial.

Back in those days BP was a major sponsor of Allan Moffat racing so I guess as Victa made a deal with BP petrol to be used in their mowers they asked Allan Moffat to advertise for Victa aswell. As I have a couple of Victa mowers from that era and they both have stickers on them recommending BP fuels.
