  • unbelievable! You speak perfectly. I am a Chinese. You speak Chinese much better than I do.

  • She's is a commie

  • I speak a bit of apple myself: ching chong wangcha wangcha fried rice mcstoogen hypend freh vaginnnna on a sunday for veneral disease on a friday heil hitler ping pong pow yang?

  • HOLY COW, your Chinese is better than mine :O You even managed a Chinese Accent...

You obviously have a feel for the language because you are able to channel emotion into a language.

  • It puts my view of chinese culture in perspective after all the years of oppression and subtle divide and conquer by the west. It certainly is an amazing media article you will not find in mainstream at this time in the west. Thanks Steph and best of luck in your passions in life.

  • 看新闻联播看多了吧?

  • We just communistise her.

  • her pronunciation is good but this speech was probably in 湘话 since mao didn't know mandarin

  • really good pronunciation!! i can hardly hear the accent=]

  • 威~~~~~~~~武~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • good pronunciation.

  • @peesnpoos settle down you idiot.

  • How did you learn this? I wish I could, haha, I am very impressed :)

  • Good pronunciation, bad choice of text.

  • She sounds like a Beijing news reporter.

  • a classic act, expressions match speech, A plus.

  • So r u good at learning it or just memorizing?

  • Keyi jiaru ni de geming?

  • im taking a shit while im listeing to this.

  • shes a nazi

  • holy fucking shit

  • i find great irony in this video.....

  • good job pronouncing! perfect tones, not much accent as well. very good job.

  • Great job! Did you memorize it or read it from the text?

  • Very nice! I'm a bit curious, how long have you studied Chinese (mandarin). You have the tongue curling and expression very well done.

  • pretty good level! weird teacher though, giving a student a mao speech, no difference to a hitler or stalin speech

  • @terribrad24 No, stalin was cooler than mao.

  • haha not bad xD i dont hear any canadian accent inside haha xP

  • hot

  • Can I please marry you? Thank you.

  • I speak banana.

  • dude, that was pretty good. props.

  • what a ..... what happened in Canada>>>>????

  • LOL.. i love you!!!

  • is that.. clementin ?

  • Really really great chinese accent, one of the best i've heard. The speech gives me chill, I'm not a fan of Mao. Anyway, great job!

  • If you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao

You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow

  • @jeminijem2 : please note in the description that I am not a 'Maoist' and that this is purely a classroom exercise.

  • @steph8614 r u a fucking nazi then cuz I am

  • As a Chinese I must say your pronunciation is much better than Chairman Mao's , because he was from Hunan province and he couldn’t speak standard Chinese as well as you do.

    哈哈,great job. Add oil !

  • 加油 加油

  • Are you actually a Maoist or are you just reciting the speech? I know a guy who recited a Hitler speech in a German class and I thought he was a Nazi, but he wasn't and just chose the speech because of its charismatic appeal. I'd like to learn Chinese.

  • @TheFlanker35 I am not a Maoist. This is a classroom speech chosen for me by my professor. It is purely acting...

  • @steph8614 do u live in china. or is this a chinese class your taking in the US.

  • @TheFlanker35 such a dumb comment, next time read the description!!

  • @MrChitoast,

Why is that a dumb comment? There are a lot of Maoists at American universities, so there could have been some at Canadian universities.

  • as a chinese, i'd like to say your pronunciation's perfect and your mandarin's fluent. and the tone's good too. very surprise that you chose one of Mao's speech to recite. good job!

  • Xie Xie! good presentation , victory in revolution!

  • Well done. You did it better then Chairman Mao himself ..... Mao's mandarin is heavily accented and hard to understand.

You have also achieved a very neutral accent in Mandarin - unlike the Beijing style mandarin where every single word is pounced with curled tongue, which is a bit too much in my view.

Where did you learn Mandarin from?

  • five stars only for you....CUTIE

  • very good

  • hahah! you did a great job! i love you!!!

  • bravo, welldone and so sweet : )

  • a very good try, although not exactly like Mao, but given the difficulties of Chinese language, you are just cool

  • Pretty good. Keep it up.

  • you sound just like a native speaker, pretty good...

  • 讲的真好

  • 强
