  • This gets me in the mood to play some "Rome Total war"

  • I have known several ww I vets...and many ww II vets...as well as Korean war and Vietnam vets. True and tested warriors. These days I hear a lot of you young folks throwing words like pussy or sissy around like it means something. Almost all of those bad ass guys who have actually paid their dues, who have lived in war, want nothing to do with the subject except as a last resort. We would be better off by far if we would try to learn something from them. Brutality is not courage. It's ignorance

  • Damn its amazing who Hannibal just annihilated the Romans at Cannae, but sadly couldn't capture Rome. In a way we can thank him for not annihilating one of ancient histories greatest culture that the Romans would come to be.

  • Not to be rude about eastern culture but its kind of obvious that Chinese battles or culture ain't mentioned in western education since were not culturally tied to Chinese culture or whatsoever, not saying that Chinese didn't have an awsome culture but, still we're more tied to European cultures.

  • crap! ignorance to trill western sissy boys

  • Yet around the same time Xiang Yu of the Chu led a army of 20,000 against the Qin 300,000 and won, but yet never even mention in western education. Um .......

  • @iamXAW Thank you!!!!

  • @metalspoon60 You're Welcome! Very bias western educational system I think.

Or the Chu of 30,000 against a force of 500,000 - 600,000 Hans and the Hans was massacred by the Chu until the river run with Hans blood.

Or how Han Xin use "Four Side Chu Song" to disband Xiang Xu force without fighting.

  • @iamXAW Dud, China's EASTERN. Why would a class on WESTERN history teach about the EAST.

  • i swear i god i stopped watching tv because.. of annoying commercials and i will stop using this site if they keep annoying me and im sure many will follow.. whos the idiot to put commercials while the video is running.. "

  • fucking commercial even on fucking youtube now.. im watching this shit and f,,,ng commercials keep popping up wtf?!

  • 26:15...

    Again... Sun Tzu.

"When able to attack the enemy, we must seem unable..."

He goes on to say: "All warfare is based on deception. When we are near the enemy, we must make him believe we are fare away, when far away, we must make him believe we are near."

He puts huge emphasis not just on the fighting itself... but all of the small intricate actions a skillful general can do prior to fighting in order to make it impossible for their enemy to win..

  • (Continued from prior post...)

The truth was, Hannibal wanted a chance to fight Rome in fields he chose. He could have fought Skippio but he was not giving himself the best chance of success. Unlike the other battles where he was familiar with the terrain, and could use it to his advantage, this fight with Skippio would have been a toss-up. Even at 5-1 numbers.

It was wiser to deny Rome battle where Rome was prepared to meet them, and then draw Rome elsewhere to fight where he was waiting.

  • People have asked:

"If Hannibal's tactic was to fight, why did he go around the Roman army presented by Skippio towards the Alps?"

This show does a great job of presenting that Hannibal needed to collect auxiliary support by drawing other tribes to his banner. Another reason however is a very basic principle of Sun Tzu.

"The skilled general brings his enemy to the battlefield and is not brought by him."

The truth was, Hannibal wanted a chance to fight Rome in fields he chose.

    TBC.

  • thanx again, Pietra (=

  • Carthage was lucky to be among the earliest of Rome's conquests. Especially being an army of mercenaries, they wouldn't have lasted a single battle 150 years later.

  • @gyrofoam1 just a question what the fuck with romans?? lol u know that carthage was an industrial power rome was more about new generation army and that shit but did u know that hannibal did what he do the best killing romans he killed thousand of them and another thing when i said that tunisian are the decendent of hannibal well did u remember who conquered spain ?? under islam era?? it was another of hannibal desendent the commander tarik ibn ziad now drink ur beer and shut up ;)

  • @moez761 I don't drink beer, you shit-sack. You don't have a clue what you're babbling about. You're not descenced from Hannibal Barca, Lmfao! you stupid, lying cunt

  • @moez761 Empires come and Empires go. Get Over it!!!!!!

  • All you bitches are all lucky Asians are so warlike we get off killing the only worthy opponents, ourselves. Doesn't matter how high you stack a bunch of shitty bricks, you were all shitting yourselves when the mongols came knocking. The Negroes had two notable empires - Mali, and Zulu. Stack that with middle eastern, north african plus indian empires and guess what one asian empire can still take them all. The reason God made asians to kill each other is so that we would conquer the WORLD!!!

  • What do you mean Rome could not beat him?

Rome destroyed Hannibal at the battle of Zama then burnt Carthage to the ground and sowed salt in the earth so nothing would grow there for a thousand years.

    Roma Victor!

  • Hannibal at portus Hannibal is at the gates

  • actually black north africans dominate in every north african land. morocco, algeria, libya, and egypt have large black populations. most live in the deserts and not the coasts in the major cities like whites or arabs do. also blacks have always been native to north africa. watch a video called mystery of the black mummy. it shows how a black culture ruled that area b4 whites came in. its a misnomer to believe that north africa is only a land of whites or arabs. i know many black north africans

  • @antnymo Black or White doesn't make any difference, But he is a noble man who become commander-in-chief of the Carthaginian armies & they where from a Phoenician race, That make him more a kin to the Tunisians & Lebanese in the way they look rather than black people, (And by the way the Phoenician are neither Arabs nor Berbers), But they are in fact Caucasian.. you can have a look at the ancient Roman coins & you will see how they portrait his face... very Mediterranean looking of him.

  • @dyako73 ive seen coins that make him appear black. and people of dark and light skin live in tunisia today as they did thousands of years ago. there is no such thing as one mediterranean race. in ancient times before civilization the entire region was exclusively black. watch the documentary entitled the mystery of the black mummy. this area has always been one of racial diversity and so has the middle east. this idea of a pure white mediterranean/european race is one of propaganda not fact

  • @antnymo The northern coast of Africa (Tunisia) was inhabited by Phoenicians "white race" and Hannibal was one of them, 99% of ancient & modern scholars have suggested with strong evidence that he was NOT from a Black race, And for me personally who studied ancient history for six years it is very hard to believe that Hannibal belonged to the black race people what so ever... and for your information the black people are really a minority in north African coast... take care.

  • @dyako73 well i guess you should tell them in this video that hannibal wasnt black. as i said there is evidence to both sides. and to think that people in africa never intermarried with blacks is racist and silly. blacks even lived in large numbers in europe. and yes i have studied ancient history myself. not just from a eurocentric viewpoint. blacks as in the past live by the millions in north africa. i know more black north africans living in america then you probably have seen in your life!

  • @dyako73 as i said watch the BBC documentary the mystery of the black mummy. google it. and what makes you call the phoenicians white? its strange how everyone who had a civilization is called white unless they are chinese. everyone becomes white lol. middle eastern people are not white. kurds, arabs, turks, persians, or afro arabs or afro saharans, or armenians or other people are not white.

  • @antnymo It is pointless having conversation with you.

  • Comment removed

  • @dyako73 of course it is when your entire argument is based upon eurocentrism and racial bias. and also a lack of knowledge of the people of the region. its easy to sit in america and claim that everyone is white in the past and present when you havent been anywhere. ive read a lot of books and taken the same university courses but its nothing if you havent gone to the region or know people from it. they dont even c things in terms of white this or white that. its more about religion is africa

  • @antnymo - That which determines the Phoenicians, Canaanites from the Levant, to be Caucasoids is anthropology. Using anthropometric indices they've determined by skeletal remains & contemporary DNA testing that the metropolitan Tyrians, like their mother country, & her founding colonists of the Carthaginian city-state, to be whites of the Mediterranean extraction. Extreme Afrocentrism, not finding the sub-Saharan Shaka Zulu to their liking, would shamefully give our Lebanese Hannibal an afro.

  • @antnymo - Extreme Afrocentrists seek to relegate the Second Punic War to the level of an anti-white conflict waged against the beginnings of European imperialism by their arrogating our Lebanese ancestor as their racial role model, by labeling him a sub-Saharan African. Never though do they look to South Africa which had no alphabet or even the wheel, but only north to Egypt, part of the ancient Fertile Crescent, which had abundant white blood, & took on the characteristics of Mesopotamia.

  • @darrinmagnus1 that comment is totally devoid of truth. afrocentrism is about correcting the eurocentric lies of the past. which has worked up to a point. first of all not all black africans are "sub saharan". that phrase was made up my whites or europeans to divide up africa. which is like saying middle east or near east. or calling arabs white in which in reality they are not. and the semitic people's of phoenicia and carthage are not the same semites as the modern arabs of lebanon.

  • @antnymo - Egyptian examples of extreme Afrocentric pseudohistorical arrogations are their assertion that the naturally redheaded Rameses, the greatest of pharaohs, was a Negro, &, quite laughable because of the impossibility of it, so too the Greek named Cleopatra VII of the Ptolemaic dynasty, Deshret/Kemet's greatest queen, whose Macedonian ancestors took to the throne after the conquests of Alexander the Great, who, might I add, was worshipped as a blond god by the so-called blacks there.

  • @antnymo - Pyramid technology, which began w. the Mesopotamian zigurat, was brought to Egypt by culture-bearing Caucasoids from the Middle East who settled the area as part of the Fertile Crescent. And it is we, & not the sub-Saharan Africans who migrated there along the Nile corridor, i.e. Negroids, who are the progenitors of its civilization. Of course our mistake was confusing posterity as to who this was exactly by allowing these primitive peoples to marry into our learned houses.

  • @antnymo - You African Americans descend from captives sold into slavery by other Negroes from west & south Africa, & it is they to whom you people are directly related, & not the noble Egyptians of Northeast Africa. Of course your racist anti-white ethos denies the fact that a Caucasoid such as myself from Lebanon is more related to the peoples of DSRT/KMT genetically, who are on the lighter side of being mixed, than you could ever hope to be because of the white Middle Eastern blood there.

  • @darrinmagnus1 first of all how do you know that i am african american? and second of all you are the only racist here. my son is half white and i am engaged to marry a bengali woman. only someone trult ignorant would make such assumptions. you are not akin to white people lol. so dont try to. they dont accept arabs anyway. and genetically speaking the egyptians were african. i could give article and book references from all the white people in the world but you would probably ignore it

  • @antnymo - Your comment is as racist & ignorant as it is anti-Arab. We Caucasoids are indigenous not only to Europe & Asiatic Russia, but the Middle East, Central Asia, & North Africa, & are divided into 3 main ethnic groups: Nordics, Alpines, & Mediterraneans, the last of which we belong to. Too often though it is racistly asserted that we are non-whites, mulattos, or, most insulting, even Negroes. But for all your racist ignorance, I have anthropology, history & even say-so on my side.

  • @darrinmagnus im not an afrocentrist im a muslim. but i am also not in support of the commonly held and incorrect eurocentric mindset either. if you did some real studies you would know more about the people of north africa from ancient times. but it seems like you are one of those that instead of accepting "adilla" or sources of information you would rather continue to spew racist propaganda. im glad not all lebanese people are not like you. and furthermore i know where my ancestors came from

  • @antnymo - Ignorant Black supremacists & racially apologetic white Afrocentrists are no doubt where you draw your sources from, but I can get you an abundance of non-Eurocentric evidence from the Egyptians themselves such as Zahi Hawas who confirm that its culture & technology is mostly Middle Eastern in origin & not sub-Saharan African. The progenitors of that country, & many others in the Horn, were culture-bearing Caucasoids migrants from the Levant attracted to its geographical benefits.

  • @darrinmagnus1 so everyone who disagrees with you is an ignorant black person or an ignorant white sympathizer. and everyone who agrees with you is correct and knowledgeable. hmmmmmm ok i completely understand now. thank you for showing me that racism is alive and well. have a great life. good bye and take care!

  • @darrinmagnus so my final advice to you is get off the internet and end that racial crap that you have embed in your brain. being racist and spewing ignorant and arrogant and utterly false racial comments only makes you look stupid and deeply uneducated. or undereducated. find something else to do then wave the banner of white supremacy lol. wow what a joke an arab white supremacist. thats like saying chinese black panther member lol. ok dude go home. im done commenting. ma'salaama

  • @darrinmagnus also look for a video called mystery of the black mummy. it talks about the early blacks who populated all of north africa before any other group entered the area. and its done by a leading egyptologist and other archaeologist from italy. not an afrocentrist. it aired on british tv and you can also find a portion of it on youtube or for sale. that is if you are seeking the truth. and many black african civilizations had writing other then egypt. like nubia and ethiopia.

  • @darrinmagnus egypt and ethiopia were nations before the fertile cresent. and i think your racist views are not apart of any true historical thought. and the idea of egypt being apart of mesopotamia has been refuted by many white or european archaeologists over time. that idea has been debunked. egypt was african. not european or asian and its civilization is from the african context. plus no one ever seen egypt as a part of the fertile crescent. ill end there. if you want references then ask.

  • @dyako73 im willing to bet you didnt even look up the reference i gave you? armchair academic

  • I swear watching these videos is making me feel a whole lot smarter! :D

  • This is so very good.

  • i thought hannibal was a negro, not hebrew...wtf?

  • He was a Phonecian, a semetic people that lived where the country of Lebanon is now. They later colonized several places, including Carthage where he was from. Not Hebrew but close.

  • I came here looking for Anthony Hopkins

  • @theburdcotter I came here looking for "The A-Team"

  • he is probably black cause of the sun burn

  • he had alot of african warriors so africa was a big part of his journey and stop with the racsist comments damn it

  • @markman12ful What does "Africa" mean?

  • @markman12ful What does "African" mean? Look at Americans. Is there a race there? You have Nigger Americans, Honky Americans, Mongoloid Americans. So what's an "American" or an "African"? And remember that North Africa was (and still is) Caucasoid (Berbers, etc...). And the actual name of AFRICA was named after a Roman general named Africanus. So why do you people think that "African" means Negroid? Sub-Saharan Africa means Negroid, NOT the north. Sorry.
  • way to be not offensive @vassephardi

  • and he want bald

    lol :)

  • hes not black or white famn it hes northern africaan which a yellow part of coulor like hes asian coulor not white

  • @markman12ful im north african im not like asian at all what are u talking about man lol come to tunisia u will see hannibal barca descendant

  • Hannibal and his army were hebrew AKA african!!!

  • @doniellehawknis hannibal was not hebrew at all well hebrew dont worship a god of war god of death etc

  • hannibal and his army were hebrew israelites not africans

  • @blazerboop what ??? im tunisian carthaginean descnednet of Hannibal barca and he was not israelite hebrew what and idiot can say that!!!!!! Hannibal ancestors was from syria they where not israelite and they are not africans but north africans for ur information he even had his gods to worship nothing to do with israelites cocksucker lol shame on u man

  • @moez761 You lying pig - claiming to be "a descendant" of Hannibal Barca. You actually expect people to take you seriously when you come out with dogshit like that?. You don't even know about his ancestry. It wasn't Syrian at all. The Carthaginians originally came from what's now Lebanon, Carthage was a colony of Phoenicia. You didn't know that, did you?. That's because you just make up everything off the top of your head. Mini-brained cocksucker.

  • @gyrofoam1 Lebanon and syria are pretty much the same mate.go look at the map if you dont know.

  • @kazamify I did, mate. When I was a kid reading about the Phoenicians. The Phoenicians preceded Carthage. Go read a book if you didn't know.

  • @kazamify ...but you don't seem to know that they're different countries entirely. What you call Lebanon was south of Syria but wasn't the same country. Did you not know this?. Phoenicia was comprised mainly of two city-states - Tyre and Sidon.

  • This is not really true in historical fact for example the roman pilum was not introduced until gaius marius reformed the legions years later

  • oh but one thing,,, you skipped about 17 seconds on the begining...

  • @thecapone45

You can watching this missing time on other links and after come back here xDD!

  • @PIETRASZE yah, i know, i was just letting you know,,, btw,,, your pic screws with my eyes...

  • @thecapone45
