  • i was about to tear up after that victory and his little speech at the end.

  • John Ruiz you and your coner team GOT WHOOOOOOPED BITCH !

  • its amazing how fast jones realises that right hand hurt ruiz at like 1:22 rj one of the best to ever lace on a pair of gloves

  • the gift and the curse.

  • so great to see a heavyweight with speed and footwork.. I wonder if we'll ever see one again

  • @powpanda well there were people before him but not many...

  • "Dont let nobody tell you what you CAN'T do...

You gotta LOVE what you WANT, you gotta WANT what you LOVE...

Once you get that in ya mind...cant NOBODY stop you"- Roy Jones Jr.

  • Ruiz was never the No.1 heavy in the world, but he was a top 5 guy, and Roy dominated him like all the rest, what a victory.

  • camera man looking at the boob show at 2:57

  • @JoeBURNSyeah i would do the same thing...

  • @GQ023 na your gay

  • @JoeBURNSyeah nah your gay...

  • "YOU LET NOBODY TELL YOU WHAT YOU CANT DO BUT YOU GOT TO LOVE WHAT YOU WANT,YOU GOT TO WANT WHAT YOU LOVE AND ONCE YOU GET THAT INTO YOUR MIND NOBODY CAN STOP YOU"

  • WHO'S THE HOE NOW!!!!

  • Jones had so much of Ali's style is insane to watch, only thing he was missing was that beautiful jab and proper defense angles

  • @AreYouSayingPow1 and durability...

  • @osbornehunter agreed but I think Ali's chin would do ANY boxer some good lol

  • inspirational.

  • Jones should have gone up to Ruiz after and asked where his hoe was now ;)

  • 1.ruiz's corner should have know better than to get into his ear like that, it oviously was puttin a flame out rather than igniting it

    2. idk why ruiz was waiting, he wasnt really getting caught with hard shot coming in

    3. im glad roy won, he owned the 90's

  • ruiz allways the sheep against upcomers.jones , toney and haye.

  • @RanMatFri i agree it was all down hill after this i think he thought he was just gunna beat anyone problem was he was peaking out

  • I guess Ruiz ended up being the hoe instead of the pimp.

  • retire damnit!

  • Speed Kills! Just like LSD.

  • The great Roy jones.

  • I gotta be real.. I like how they dramatized this fight for the show but real boxing fans and fighters know that speed beats power any day.. I knew he'd pick him apart easily-- the name of the game is to hit and not get hit. plain n simple.. dats what up roy- people on here talkin bout his down fall n shit..people kill me with wanting to glorify misfortunes. The bottom line is do is and will be one of the best that ever did..not many like him out there.

  • @vicevurze True, I mean 5'11 Mike Tyson beat much bigger guys like this every fight in his prime with speed and power in a smaller package. Only difference is he was a natural heavyweight (was never over 217 in prime tho). Jones definitely would beat Ruiz to the punch and has much better boxing ability and faster feet. I feel sorry for Ruiz cuz he got caught up in that bullshit, he really believed it lol

  • I'd prefer to say "You have to love what you do and do what you love"

  • I think Roy would've been better at heavyweight because of his speed.

  • Hey John Ruiz if youre readings this, well emm you got youre ass whoped

  • @DownCoolLow Lol....

  • Comment removed

  • he should have stayed at heavyweight!

  • Energy sources without the need for fuel or energy input exist ,But there are very powerfull forces that want to supress the technology,Check this free energy magnet motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,take part in the revolution!

  • is mr.shilton gay???just something i couldnt help but think all through this documentary.not knockin him either

  • Ruiz got fucking dominated.

  • 2:57 camera man pans for chicks tits

  • @jacksedit hahahaha yer u notice that as well...

  • @jacksedit ahahahah

  • technique, strength, stamina, spirit, belief, heart...everything a size of this fkn planet in one man...thats what i see in him

  • GLADIATOR

  • This fight really does define the sweet science.

  • Thanks alot for uploading

  • one of the best videos on youtube. inspirational

  • @Mujahadeen87 agreed......Roy Jones Jr one of the greatest fighters in history..no doubt..!!!!

  • amazing. almost shed a tear......

  • @noituloverid i would have been crying if i saw this live!!!

  • Everything that happend after this fight doesn't mean a thing because this was his peak. Yeah we may see glimpses of prime Roy but everybody knows that when he was in his prime nobody could deal with his speed, power and showmanship. It might be another 20 years before we see another talent like prime Jones. I know ppl say well Floyd is the greatest but compared to a prime Roy he isn't close.

  • @richieray04 absoloutly agree with you. floyd is one heck of a fighter. very smart and talented. but roy was just something else. the speed and power was just too much for people. dominated fights and remain relaxed all day long. great fighter. im happy hes still fighting cause thats what he wants not the fans

  • lmao johns dad looks like a kkk member and u should of seen his face when his son lost

  • that trainer was really cool

  • what kind of faggot posts their IQ

  • @bobdole135 lool thats very true

and great doc, RJJ is the man

  • There is no way in hell, Danny Green would have beaten Roy in 2003!!!! Never.

  • here's another one! IDOL!

  • speed + power

  • speed = power

  • Thankyou! These guys keep talking about "Ruiz has the power". Twenty pounds isn't enough to counter the difference in speed, and Force x Velocity = Power. I feel certain Roy has more power here.

  • @GeetarAdam, well the guy who kept saying that was george foreman, one of the most powerful punchers and best heavyweights ever, so..... by the way, change in velocity is what generates force and force is the impact when you get hit so i'm not sure what you're getting at with the equation. we always say speed and strength is power but not if you're going to talk physics.

  • @jcpnw No, force is not the impact when you get hit. Power is. Force is a scalar quantity, along with velocity, that together comprise the vector quantity, power. A muscle with more maximal strength does not necessarily possess more explosive strength. Explosive strength is defined as the ability to express significant tension in minimal time, while maximal strength is the amount of force that one can exert under voluntary effort, regardless of time. (continued)

  • @GeetarAdam So Ruiz may have possessed more maximal strength, giving him an advantage in the Force part of the equation, but Jones had a significant advantage in the Velocity part of the equation. Now, again, it's simple. Force x Velocity = Power. Do you think Ruiz's advantage in force was enough to overcome Jones power? I mean this in terms of physics, not in terms of fighting jargon, which is more losely used. Bottom-line, Jones' speed made him a more powerful puncher.

  • @GeetarAdam, you're obviously one stupid fuck so i'm not going to discuss this any further. force is a vector. velocity is a vector. force is change in momentum, mass times acceleration. why the fuck do you think there's less/more force on impact when it comes from different directions. speed is scalar. velocity is speed and it's direction. why argue something when you don't know what the fuck you're talking about? just a dumbfuck man.

  • @jcpnw Dude, you've got some emotional issues, and some grammatical issues, as well, so forgive me if I don't bow before your intellect. I did mistake force for scalar, but I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong. Still, you don't seem to get it. If you punch with twice the velocity, but half the force, then the power is exactly the same. If you can't even explain what you're trying to say well enough for a person with an I.Q. of 151 to understand it, then the fault is not entirely mine.

  • he was faster than ever in this fight, believe it because he had more muscles to utilise. Dw roy will bounce bk, apparently green used illegal wrap and roy complained b4 the match and had to fight or he wouldve got dqd. the match will be a no contest i think after roy filed the protest

  • illegal wrap? wtf is considered an illegal wrap? he got beat. same way he got beat by tarver and calzaghe.

  • nah joe beat roy fair illegal wrap had 4 times the layers and adhesive which is similart to plaster, plus thicker and with adhesive played a part i thought he was whinging but he makes a strong case, As much as i like danny green roy did complain before hand and was told he wouldve got disqualified if he didnt fight, but i think roy can beat BHOP if he keeps his distance and avoids the clinch from bernard cause bhop struggles against fast people and he aint a big hitter

  • ...if you dont know what an illegal wrap is, you shouldn't be watching boxing.

  • roy should of stayed at heavyweight.imagine wat he would of done in dat division

  • he should of he slowed down heaps wen he went down weight

  • Roy was a good boxer but what he really was, was a freak of nature. A freak unlike boxing has ever seen. But when all those gifts faded, what was left was a good boxer still trying to fight with a style his body was no longer able to do... But in his prime he might have been the hardest fighter to beat of all time, him an ali... I miss THIS roy, we will never see nothin like him again.

  • yep ur 100% right well probly never c another roy. the man in his prime was a genius

  • @esem17 so true..but wit all the talent jones had it was prolly hard 2 learn the basics wen u was jus so much faster & stronger than everybody..when he dropped those 30 lbs n a 6 week period 2 fight tarver at the age of 35 that killed jones body..and damaged his central nervous system as we can c 4rm her above he takes a punch well 4rm ruiz who undoubtedly hits harder than tarver & johnson..but wen jones wit back down & messed up his body he was never the same..

  • wow...left, right...bang bang at 1.23

  • got that right best boxer ever! ther wil never be another roy jones jr like ther will never be another bruce lee.. peace out..

  • no boxer ever will be as fast as jones lol hes my idol man i mean look at 1:31 to 1:34 lol amazing fuckin punch

  • Jones-Hopkins.. 2 of my favourite boxers. i dnt even knw wat to predict!

  • i thought that was 50 cent at 5:50

  • This guy is my all time favorite, so much class so much style

  • when i thought roy jones couldnt be any beter he goes and fights somone 60 pounds heavier then him that is what you call a true hero of world boxing

  • Roy Jones = true professional

Roy Jones Jr vs. Bernard Hopkins 2 -- 2010

    cant wait!

  • are you serious

  • i wanna see that in person. 16 years in the making.

  • @yuriynyr dirtiest fight in awhile lol!!

  • @yuriynyr dirties fight in a long time

  • He should have never moved down in weight after this. That was his down fall.

  • @fathead8489 and what? fight the klitchkos lol.

  • @fathead8489 No way..He wasn't big enough.

  • @fathead8489 roy was around 200 here he should've moved to cruiserweight after this fight and told tarver to move up to face him.

  • @fathead8489

    Couldn't agree more.

  • they should make a movie after roy jones, that is dramatic

  • the end quotes almost made me cry!

  • roy is number 1! danny green mate you better watch out

  • i gess we all know whos the imp and whos the ho

  • best fighter ever!

  • Roy is the man forever!

  • roy u fukin legend ur gona kill danny green who da fuks he

  • to be honest, roy jones would of knocked out John Ruiz at middleweight

  • imnot black whit or asian.. and mackie is the coolest white guy ive ever met. God bless Mackie! :)

  • i love roy xD

  • who`s the bitch now ruiz???? haha

  • **at 4:15

  • I dunno about that, I'd rather look @ 2:59 :)

  • Isn't it funny how Mackey held on to his hug just a little bit too long?

  • well jeez man its the heavyweight title....

  • Could some of you guys check out my videos of me hiting the heavy bag? Would mean alot to me if u tell me what ya think about my boxing and handspeed! =)

  • wheres ur vids?

  • do they get a replica of the belt or do they only have a belt so long as they're champ

  • they keep a replica and the belt gets passed on

  • kick ass documentary showing why ROY JONES JUNIOR truely is one of the greatest p4p ever! should have retired after this but a true great shows no fear and takes on all challengers like he did but payed the price with his record and probly his health!

  • his health is fine,

he never got hit for most of his career and he never really took a prolonged beating except for calzaghe, and that wasnt the kind that ruins a fighter,

compare that to the shit guys like pacman and marquez go through,

jones isnt what he once was athletically obviously, but the only deterioration i can see in him is age

  • This is so sad. Jones was my hero

  • JONES 4 PRESIDENT !!!! :P

  • roy in his prime is the best!!

  • kik ass documentary

    roy jones is a beast

  • dam so this is the life of jones ... i realy respect this man he has evrey thing a real man should need ... btw ruiz is a bitch he calls jones at the press conference a ho

  • this combat had destroyed jones ' health !

  • I'd like to see Calzaghe move up to fight any heavyweight champ. He would be slaughtered.

  • impossible? ...is nothing!!!

    unbelieveble

  • roy is a born champion!

  • Comment removed

  • Hmmm...me too.

  • he was tested and passed, he was taking a legal substance before his fight with Richard Hall, The IBF decided that they didn't want him to use it but they let him keep his belt if he stopped use

after that they tested him for every type of steriod from 2000-present...and he passed every time

  • wait what does that mean?if he passed does that mean he did take steroids?

  • passing= your ok

    failing= you juiced

  • haha watch a 2:59..... the camera goes to the corner and the cameran sees the ring girl and follows her then realised he should be lookin at the fighter...

    was really good!

In his prime Roy would of killed calzaghe... speed.... footwork and never standing still to be hit were his strenghts.. he was such a smart fighter he never let himself get hit...

now he's slowed down but thats growing old for u, in his prime he would pf played with calzaghe and knocked him out.

  • lol

  • Roy's 10 times faster fighting as heavyweight than fighting as light heavyweight

  • he wud have killed calzaghe 10 yers ago shame he gotta get old

  • unbelieveable.... the great RJJ did it... i couldnt believe it, when i saw the fight the first time... amaz8ing... and against calzaghe i dont see much of a chance for super joe... roy will knock ihm out

  • Legend of our time

  • the one the only
