  • Hi.. I just install EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold but i can't make the sound goes out in FL 10. I tried standalone and it works very good.. And also with Cubase 4...But nothing on FL. even seting up with the FL midi out channel. There's some configuration on fl so i can make it sound?... Please help ... This is frustrating.. I

  • @Fatbmusic You have to set up the midi input port in the settings of the VST of EWQL gold to a number, maybe like 0 or 1, then you set a midi input track to have the same port, and then you can start loading instruments.

  • @Fatbmusic watc this also watch?v=Nfhcb73U61k

  • it would be nice of you explain how you did alot of this. . . break it down for people. . . just sayin

  • @PrinceYJ1 I'm only going over how to use many of the crescendo samples effectively. There is a lot going on in many aspects, but as the title says, I am only focusing on this one technique in particular. My next video will be on setting up FL Studio for writing an orchestral track, if you want more tutorials on other things let me know what other tutorials you'd like to see.

  • The clicking was due clipping and going above 0db ! and then the recorder picking up the overdub.

  • I keep coming back to this video and wondering how the hell did you make the strings sound so real. I listened to so many EWQL samples already, but it all just not good enough. Is there some kind of extra virtual amp you're using to give it the stereo reverb sound?

  • @JedoDre It's not that at all. EWQL comes with specific textural sounds for each instrument section. There are more than one version of Violins playing legato. For example, there's a heavy legato and a soft legato. Don't forget about staccato and things like that as well. Being an experienced musician and composer, I know which specific sounds fit well with other ones, rather than just picking any old violin patch.

  • @letspretendxc0re Aha, so it's combos.

But, out of interest, presumably you still use an EQ for the final result / or some sort of mastering, right?

  • @JedoDre The EQ I get naturally with these libraries sound great already, I usually never have to tweak that.

  • @letspretendxc0re Hi Matthew thanks for the tutorials i subbed.. these really helped please make more sometime, like for: orchestral track structure / when to add elements etc , basically just how to make good orchestral tracks; if you can take us through step by step or something.. would be much appreciated, thanks.

  • How to you get ewql....its takes so damn long to download???

  • @jd1692able Buy it

  • This is amazing! Thanks a lot! How did you learn this in the first place?

  • @ExpSystem A lot of experience. I've been making music since I was 13. I'm 22 now :)

  • How did you make your strings sound like that at 4:05?!?!! ive been trying to make it like that but it never works!

  • @cowZarifical What orchestral library are you using?

  • there is apsouloutely no need to hate / dislike this

  • Can someone help please in playlist I only see track 1,track 2 etc but i dont see pattern 1 , pattern 2

  • question for some reason i cant hear the sounds from the ewql on my fl studio 10 and icant figure it out can i get some help pls ill appreciate it alot

    thanks for your time

  • @Hardknockprod You're not giving me enough information of what you've got. Send me a message of what VST player you're using (Kontakt, Kompakt, Play 2, etc...)

  • Great job dude! :D

I use FL Studio and East West samples as well.

    Keep on rockin!

  • great!

  • Do you know how to make a crescendo in a single instrument in ewql when other instruments already started? I cant find a way to set the volume dynamicly :(

By the way: where can I find the whole piece?

  • @Mainboarder1 If you already know how to make separate MIDI out's for your Play 2 or Kontakt 4, you can automate channel volume in the MIDI out channels. I have another tutorial on how to do that here: watch?v=axyd5XjQ5HY Also, there are many tutorials on channel volume automation. It will take a little extra work to get realistic expression on some of these instruments. Check the description to find more information on the piece I used here.

  • @letspretendxc0re thanks for you reply! but ewql doesnt recognize a change in the volume, if i do it over the midi-channel.

do you have another tip for me?

  • @Mainboarder1 Put the Midi out into a MIXER channel and automate the mixer channel volume.

  • Are you sure that in Lost EWQL was used?
