The Lachish Letters' characters were also a blend of Hebrew in Egyptian type script, or demotic type of characters. The wording also match up with the wording in 1 Nephi. There are all kinds of contradictions and inconsistencies in the Book of Mormon, just like in the Bible, Koran, and most other religious texts.

THese Lachish Letters are significant. I highly recommend you read up on them. Very impressive bullseyes for *both* the Bible and BOok of Mormon.

They aren't in the Book of Mormon. They are archaeologically discovered texts at Lachish which date to the Babylonian destruction 600 B.C.
