  • There are all kinds of contradictions and inconsistencies in the Book of Mormon, just like in the Bible, Koran, and most other religious texts.

  • thank you for taking so much time with these efforts professor. The truth will stand.

  • Thumbs up Professor. The letters are new to me , I will be googling to the end of time. Always great fun and informative as always. Thank you

  • THese Lachish Letters are significant. I highly recommend you read up on them. Very impressive bullseyes for *both* the Bible and BOok of Mormon.

  • I have started to read about the Lachish letters. thanks for introducing them to me.

  • My good pleasure!

  • "My good pleasure! "

which leads to my good education =)

  • The Lachish Letters' characters were also a blend of Hebrew in Egyptian type script, or demotic type of characters. The wording also match up with the wording in 1 Nephi. "The house of...." is used to designate lineage of the people mentioned. Take a look at the characters on the Anthon Transcript & the Lachish too. The Biblical Archaeologist, 35, Dec. 1972, #4, p.102, fig.3. Lachish Letter #2, dated 590 B.C. From a drawing by H. Michaud found in the book entitled: Syria, 34 (1957), p.42. Etc.

  • im enjoying the extra large series lol, where can i find these letters in the Book of Mormon? If thats where they are.

  • They aren't in the Book of Mormon. They are archaeologically discovered texts at Lachish which date to the Babylonian destruction 600 B.C.
