This song is truly inspiring. The bittersweet, tragic, beautiful atmosphere...what software do they use to create this? I would love to create music like this
I listen to this and remember Tidus and Yuna standing and gazing at the Zanarkand ruins, it's dusk and you can see...almost *feel* the gentle breeze going through their hair. Whenever I listen to this I can't help but feel that I'll never truly belong in the world we live in in comparison to Spira.
@CryInTheAttic There's only one 'then' in the english language. You also misread what I typed, and in the first place I was simply referring to the sense of meaning you feel playing the game as well as all of the colourful and interesting things, the real world doesn't really have anything to compare to that when you live in western society, so it feels boring and pointless by comparison. /Done arguing over a simple relatable comment.
@Revaris Well, if you believe there are no homophones between than and then, THEN you used the wrong word, thus bringing us back to you being not only stupid, but pathetic.
@CryInTheAttic You know looking back over this whole thing I think to myself why am I even bothering with this, you're a big enough asshole to start something like this so that says plenty for me, I'm sure you'll have a response but I simply won't give a fuck. So you might as well let everyone else watch this in peace and I hope the uploader deletes this whole stupid ass conversation.
Ah i loved playing this game so much. I had the unbeatable blitzball team, had numrick? from al behd physc or w/e as my goalkeeper. Had nearly 400+ hours played and most of it was blitzball.
Man, whenever I hear this song I think of all the disctuction after Operation Mi'hin. Meanwhile, Gipple, Nooj and Barali are runnign for it so they don't get offed either.
This song automatically puts me in a state of mind where my body and mind wants to float on a cloud and just take in what ive been through and accept everything for what it was; beautiful song
This song is my absolute favorite from the soundtrack...it just...does something to me. Makes me think about so many things...happy memories, sad memories, loving memories....any memory...People who have come, and gone throughout your life. Changes within the people in your life, yourself...Everything. This song brings tears to my eyes...the simplicity in emotion expressed here takes my breath away...you know?
Gives me the shivers up my spine everytime. It's just so relaxing.
I wish I had found this song during Summer, it would of been perfect to listen to on a sunny day looking up into the blue sky whilst laying alone in some far off field.
i can just imagine it.. staring towards the twilight lit sea... with the stars beginning to appear... the birds flying towards their nests.. the wind blowing on ur face..and the sun slowly setting ....
The Djose highroad is my greatest gaming moment, I was 14, I remember turning on the ps2 past midnight to play this game on a school night. Because I couldn't sleep - all I could think about is this game. Wow, I wish I could delete my memory and play this game again
when this song plays after sinspawn gui i was like, it totally sounds like a wreckage site, then when i talked to Gatta (i get Luzza and Gatta muddled up but i'm gonna go with Gatta) he was like NOOOO LUZZU DIED and i was like ;_;
I gave away my PS2 when i got myself a PS3 (January 2009). In December 2010 i bought myself a PS2 again, just because of FFX. I was browsing FFX soundtracks on YouTube and i just couldn't holt it anymore. I know most ppl. say FF7 was the best but FFX is defenetly the most emotional and the most epic and songs like this one are one of the reasons for that. I still haven't played any other FF or RPG which cought me so much.
When I hear this song, I feel as though I'm teleported to a ruined city, I can feel the cold wind on my neck, the sun rising above a peak of a mountain, and in that moment, I know, I understand what it means to be alive. Its, as if all my sorrow vanishes before my eyes and I feel happy, happy to be alive, yet sad as I mourn the dead... Its then I realize, our reality isn't so different from our fantasies... all things must come to an end, and so we should make a meaning for everything here...
thing is, its not a game.... it seems to be about life in general, whether there be Sin floating in the sky, waiting for the opportune chance to destroy us all or the geometry test tommorow that we forgot to study for or a loved one or family member on the verge of death. this music just.... reminds us of the... horrific?... no... the terrible beauty of it all.
The pale moon carresses every star as if it were an individual lover with life bursting out, creating the heavens above, the gods blessing us by lighting a wick which is the day and when the wick dies, the lights go out and mother earth shows us the beatufiful, individual night, awaiting to be lived by the summers youth.
Have you appreciated this ever lasting gift given to us unknowingly?
i just had a bad break-up and this song really helps. its nice how music can make things ........ easier for you to handle when your feeling down but it can also make you feel ... content
Beautiful. This song is just amazing. The feeling you get when listening to it is beyond this world; words can not describe the energy that is felt from this soundtrack.
I think I read someone else say this somewhere, but I would agree: This is definitely something I would want playing at my Funeral. Is fits perfectly with a sending off ceremony. Sad, yet beautiful.....
I always like this song. When I come from a long day at work I always listen to this song. It calms me. And makes it easier for me to fall asleep too.
This game is easily the most emotional game out there. The feelings of hate, despair, love, happiness, and wonder are all expressed so well in these songs. The great graphics are a bonus to the songs. This could be one of the greatest games ever made.
@TamayoMeri I seriously think X and XII are underrated. So many FF fans flock to and rant about VII, but X and XII are definitely quality games in their own rights. VIII, X and XII makes my "holy trinity" of FF.
@AutumnCrusader It wasn't really interesting. Even when I try, the story is ridiculous and really really screwed up (past present future sorceress into one to destroy the world and then THE WHOLE UNIVERSE TO BE FOREVER ALOOOONE HAHAHAHAAHA, wat). That game came up with the best minigame ever though.
It's only my opinion, but it really wasn't a good story.
@DocteurMelheck The speech she gives, while possessing Edea, to the people of Deling City at the end of Disc 1, she goes on about how she has suffered at the hands of humanity and with have her revenge on mankind
@TamayoMeri so true. Between all the FF VIII and X are still the best... but when I listen to these songs I just can't help it. I wanna play it again and again. This theme "Wandering Flame" is one of the best. It's like you can feel the sadness. makes you wonder about so many things.
@brendude95@brendude95 really ? I never got ps2 to look good in 1080p screens. I find it better to run on emulator, but currently theres a lot of glitches in most games. Maybe in the future. Today, they look fantastic but run slow. Hopefully they will release it in PSN soon ;D

@DocteurMelheck Ultimecia had a childhood filled with nothing but hate and torment
She wanted to compress time into a world were only her and her control of time would effectively exist, so she would be alone, the solitary existance
To her mind, a safe haven from all the pain and at the same time a revenge against the humanity that had hurt her so
Hense the time compression

@AutumnCrusader Erm that was only about sorceresses, not really her precisely.
Laguna was obvious.
