I always put my daughter in spanish speaking daycares. Someone I know was born in France and she found out that she was never considered a citizen of France because she never had the right paperwork filled out!! I always put my daughter in spanish speaking daycares. Her providers from Argentina told me it was their responsability to speak english not ours to speak spanish (she was right)There are a couple origins of people who refuse to learn, many more take on the reponsability w/no excuses, I commend the good people who choose to do the right thing.FYI I am Spanish & french & proud but NEVER proud of those who don't learn.

It is important to put Americans to work & an interest in learning the English language is good incentive to pay for those services. Je suis Frances(je parle en Frances un petite peu). Yo soy Espanol(hablo en Espanol un pecito). I speak a little of both because I forced myself, a few words a day expands ones knowledge & abilities. In the end, if you REALLY want something you'll find a way. I wish I had enough skills to help (teachers are better) thanks.

Most immigrants are very eager to learn English, so nonprofits are often unable to keep up with the demand. It sounds like you could make a positive difference with English Language Learners in your area.
