I don't get why creationist believe in "micro"- evolution and not "macro"-evolution. If god created everything (and god is supposed to be perfect) why wouldn't there be a need for any evolution at all? I don't see why god wouldn't just make all living things perfectly adapted to their environment in the first place and just eliminate evolution all together.

Actually, the first single cells to appear shortly after the initial processes of Abiogenesis were little more than bacterium consisting mostly of just nucleoid contained withing a lipid membrane. They didn't even have mitochondrion or anything that could be considered a nucleus as is the case with eucariotes like us humans. Life starts simple AND THEN works its way up.

While it is true we have yet to find a fossil of the specific common ancestor we share with apes, last May a new fossil was discovered that is believed to be the common ancestor that humans and apes share with monkeys. One of the mechanisms is natural selection. Irreducible complexity has already been disproven. There are plenty of people on youtube who show this. And you can read the transcripts of the Dover trial, which has a truck load of evidence for evolution, even proofs given by christians. ID has never made a prediction, never been tested, and only relies on tired arguments that have long been addressed by the scientific community. ID folks have got to get some new material!

Galileo was "persecuted" because the "Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems" was an insult to the pope, who'd asked him to at least try to argue for the Ptolemaic world system. So, he wrote the argument for the character Simplicio (literally, "Simpleton") and made him seem a downright fool. If god created everything (and god is supposed to be perfect) why wouldn't there be a need for any evolution at all? Actually, the first single cells to appear shortly after the initial processes of Abiogenesis were little more than bacterium consisting mostly of just nucleoid contained withing a lipid membrane. They didn't even have mitochondrion or anything that could be considered a nucleus as is the case with eucariotes like us humans. Life starts simple AND THEN works its way up.

While it is true we have yet to find a fossil of the specific common ancestor we share with apes, last May a new fossil was discovered that is believed to be the common ancestor that humans and apes share with monkeys. This is all beside the point that the actual ancestor we share with apes is a mere technicality. We have enough fossils of our evolution since to paint a VERY clear picture of exactly how we evolved, and to leave no question as to our common ancestry.

One of the mechanisms is natural selection. Irreducible complexity has already been disproven. There are plenty of people on youtube who show this. And you can read the transcripts of the Dover trial, which has a truck load of evidence for evolution, even proofs given by christians. ID has never made a prediction, never been tested, and only relies on tired arguments that have long been addressed by the scientific community. ID folks have got to get some new material!
