I've got this set up on a compete wireless connection. Wireless router downstairs (Netgear), with my computer in my bedroom (using a Netgear wireless adapter), and then my xbox in my room using the xbox 360 official wireless adapter.

I think you can do this with wired though, allthough i have never tryed.

Try adding xbox lives ips into Zone Alarm.

zonealarm>firewall>zones>add>i­p range.

Name the ip range "xbox live" and set it as trusted. In the top ip box type 65.59.234.1 In the second ip box type 65.59.234.255.

Then add another IP range, and call it xbox live 2. Set it as trusted, and in the top box the IP is

65.55.42.1, and the bottom IP box is 65.55.42.255. Click apply and then try standbying
