awful anime imo, too many anime cliques. Also, as you can tell from the trailer, they say shikabane WAY too much. decided to count during one of the episodes. they said said shikabane over 20 times, and its like that every episode,

I would've liked this series much more if the main guy started hating Makina? after the older brother died and Makina feeling bad would try to make things work even though the guy hates her that would've been awesome IMO

@smash44556677 well the term shikibane used over and over kinda pissed me off. the words were simply toolong to make decent flowing dialogue. plus the contrived FORCED FANSERvIce of the concept where the hero have to be all women....makes me lose respect for it. I woulda been perfectly find if it wa just 1 corpse princess (which is wat i expected). this...this is bleach only with boobs but slghtly bad writing (bleach's writing was awful)

The fact that the dude had feelings for her even though he knew she was dead was so disgustingly Japanese. I also agree on the fanservice a lot of anime's thrive on that and I don't really enjoy teenage dudes bleeding from the nose every time they see a semi nude chick. Also the fact that it was about 8 of them didn't help either.

@GrandChaseowns Um, no. Both japanese and English versions are called Shikabane Hime. This video even showed what Shikabane Hime means, both in text and dialouge.

@Cflores008 Well i know that,but still.They did leave it hanging at the end,and we STILL don't know who win's the fight(The one between Makina and Hokuto at the ending.).With the Manga still going on and all,you never know there might actually be a second season~ And I've actually heard that the creator for the anime is thinking about doing another season,with the same people but with a different plot and a new enemy but it may not be true... :P

@xxbrokendollxxx I think a movement like that could help with it's publicity, If I had known that there was a shitty ending, I probably wouldn't have followed the series. Not saying it was bad, but with a plot like this, you really want some closure, you know?

@xxbrokendollxxx What Funimation screwed up was labeling this as one season, well they screwed up the packaging too actually, but 1-13 were technically was Season 1, 14-25 was Season 2, and episode 26 was actually an OVA. Makes 25 the proper ending and 26 just unnecessary.

@TheSillyzombie Im actually quite grateful for the extra ova episode since with what happened to minai and all, I was pleased she wasn't completely forgotten in the end, and she was my favorite shikabane hime, so that was pretty cool. I also believe Season one was episodes 1-12 AKA and season 2 was episodes 13-25 Kuro, not exactly sure if funi followed the same pattern though.

@Megamanxultimate Yeah they did, actually they released both of them as separated collections, this one is only a bundle of the two seasons, AKA and KURO, in one package

@Megamanxultimate Yeah, I suppose. To each their own. I really think the OVA could have been about something other than two characters that die in episode 8 of season 1. Funi went from Aka to Kuro to the OVA, but they just called it one season and made several people confused. I didn't realize that they did it that way until the Voice Director of the dub cleared it up on her podcast.
