  • Anyone who's ever had an economics class knows that consumption taxes are not only simplest to comply with and understand, they're also revenue neutral. Remember, the consumption tax (FairTax) is THE ONLY federal taxes you will ever pay. No estate taxes, no capital gains taxes, no personal income tax, billions in compliance costs saved, no forms to fill out, no returns to file. I want it.

  • Too bad there's no one there to hear this discussion!

  • Very well done! Two of the most articulate and passionate FairTax supporters in congress.

  • @Philwill1100 And Phil if you look at both of the FairTax books, you'll see Cong. Woodall's name on them. Those books were written when he was John Linder's chief of staff. Rob Woodall replaced Linder in 2010.

  • America has had enough of the "free lunch" culture that demands more and more from fewer and fewer people while those on the receiving end, who do not pay any Federal income taxes, perceive the handouts and changes in the tax code as they are getting someting for nothing.

I say that as someone who has never even been middle class let alone rich.

  • The FairTax IS the best thing that America could ever do right now for our economy and our nation!

  • Finally politicians who are thinking of us "We the people". The Fair Tax - Simple, Transparent, Fair. Levels the playing field for all Americans. Broadens the tax base, progressive. Understand the Fair Tax and you will demand it!

  • "Corporations don't pay taxes. When you buy stuff, you pay their taxes for them."

Help America become the last "Tax Haven" in the world. Support HR-25/S-13.

  • 23% is 23%.

  • It won't be 22% it will be 55%.

  • @pirucreek If you think that, then you don't understand the FairTax. Stop making assumptions. Learn.

  • @pirucreek You are right, it won't be 22%. How much research did you put into coming up with 55%? The 23% was established with 22 million dollars of private money at 7 of the top universities in the country.

  • what are you, the 1 percent or 99 percent ? LOLOLOLOL say what ???
