  • Different solutions are required in different places. This is probably not a good one to set up if you live in an apartment block! Could the wood one work from leaves, brush wood, coconut husks and such? I am thinking of African communities that have almost no wood available but may have a lot of organic waste. In one coastal area they are making briquettes of coconut palm fronds, husks & brush to burn in stoves. But this is not very effective - could we make wood gas from these? Please advise.

  • This is really interesting, OrganicDrew, but I don't own cows, or have the property to have them. Not everyone lives in the middle of nowhere.

So I should get off my ---as- and go buy a farm and buy cows I can't afford to feed so I can collect the crap and stick it in a hole in the ground to get the gas to run my stove. Have you checked out wood gas, a little more practical I think. A lot less smelly too, you can even run a gas engine with the stuff.

  • AMERICANS ARE SO STUPID FOR BEING SO DEPENDENT ON CORPORATIONS AND MONEY FOR ESSENTIALS - wouldn't it be better if everyone could make their own power like this, and never pay a utility bill ever! that means more time at home and less time working for the same quality of life, whats more, most of these systems can be self contained and odor free, they can also be automated by a computer, no need to smell our energy like in Africa, COME ON AMERICA get off you F* ass and do something like this!
