  • OK so I got it to play music from my Zune HD, but I can't get the alarm to work with my Zune. Any help?

  • Mine doesn't work when it's not plugged in (still on battery power), it's basically an overpriced clock at that point, is it supposed to do that? I thought you could listen to music with the battery power.

  • Why is this still almost 100 bucks and its been over 2 years >.> :(

  • @HologramKS Because it rocks ass.

  • ihomes play zune?

  • Will the Zune 80gb still play music aloud with a hard case on with this? Because I have a zLive speaker that won't play music when the hard case is on, but it will still charge?

  • it looks like a xbox 360

  • Does the Zune charge while in the clock radio?

I received a 30 gb Zune as a gift a couple of years ago and have yet to use it as I'm not into carrying my music around . However, I would like to listen to audiobooks or podcasts as I fall asleep and think a Zune clock-radio would be good for that.

Your demo was quite helpful. Now if I can find this product in stores or online.

  • does this work with the 30GB zune?

  • it should i heard it has a plastic piece to acomadate the 30gb which is good cause thats what i want i 4 cause i bought a 30gb zune on ebay

  • It's just a copy of the ihome for apple just different look

  • Thanks for the review!

Does this unit have the option to dim the clock display light? I'm looking for something that won't flood my room with green or blue light when I'm going to bed.

  • Does the Zune player continue to have a backlight when charging? That's my biggest issue right now while it is set up on my boom box with a charger; I like the room to be very dark to get to sleep. I know the clock will dim, but will the Zune dim as well?

  • will this work with the zune hd??

  • Yes, it does. My HD is in mine right now. (Note: I don't have the iHome remote, which is an optional separate accessory for the iHome, so don't know if that works with the HD.)

  • thanks bro

    maybe im getting one

instead of the dock and the av stuff

    for the tv

what would you recomend me to buy the dock and that stuff or the radio/clock??

  • thank god:D

  • @hchute They should put the AM Antenna and Remote as a package deal and not sold seperately.

  • at 3 minutes what is that song?

  • It's Weezer - the Sweater Song. "If you want to destroy my sweater..."

  • @hchute pull this thread, as I waaaaalllk e-waaaaaaaaaay

  • is that the same plug as the ipod? Because I have an ihome for an ipod and want to know if it works for a zune

  • Ah, unfortunately the iPod has a different sync connector than a Zune. The two are not compatible. Bummer!

  • Hey hchute, I have a couple questions for you just for your own opinion and I'm only wondering too.

    1. On a standard clock radio when the alarm goes off which alarm setting do you think is the most loudest with the volume tuned up? The music or the alarm buzzer?

    2. Also, how come sometimes people fall asleep again or go back to sleep when they hear the music playing on a clock radio with the alarm setting to the music setting?

  • The buzzer is loud, but with your volume turned up the music will be louder. Either one will wake you up, though!

    On #2... I dunno!!

  • Oh okay then. Well thanks anyway, hchute. I appreciate you answering back to my questions as soon as you can too. So thanks again. Basically in my own opinion, I would like the music setting the best on a clock radio. I think the music setting is better because sometimes when the alarm goes off and the music starts playing, you can sometimes listen to some of your favorite songs on the clock radio depending on what station it is on and everything. Those clock radios rock!

  • Does this recharge the zune when docked?!

  • Yes it does.

  • thanks for the answer, im heading out to buy this thing right now! :D

  • Make sure to tell me what you think about sound quality. I don't own one yet but I want to know how it sounds as I have not heard much about in other reviews.

  • I have that one, I took the "Designed for Zune" sticker though, not a big fan of elecctronic with stickers.

Does anybody notice that it kinda looks like an Xbox 360?

  • i was just thinking that

  • same here lol

  • i prefer itunes for the ipod better

  • i want one! where did you get it!?

  • gonna ask the gma for this for xmas

  • does the 4BG ipod fit on it please tell me ??

  • No, it's only compatible with Zune players. iPods have a different connector port than Zune players.

  • just one questeion. Does the wheel thing actually move (like ansa fuze etc.) or it doesnt(like the iPod)

  • The wheels physically rotate. So it has a mechanical feel to it, not a touch-sensitive kind of thing.

  • o and does it come with a remote lol

  • It does not come with a remote. One can be separately ordered if desired.

  • i just bought an 8gb will this work im lookin to get one of these

  • Yes, it works with any Zune player - so your 8GB will work with this.

  • Does this fit the 16GB zune because i dont want to waste my money on it if its not going to fit.?

  • Yes, it first all Zune players. It will work with your 16GB Zune.

  • It's in stores, but easier to find online.

  • this is amazing!

Can I only buy it online, or will they be selling it at stores like best buy, walmart, target, or circuit city?

  • Yeah, I just bought one of these. Unboxed it, plugged my Zune in, listened to the sound quality... But oh wait, I want to listen to a different song... Well, there's no buttons to cycle tracks on the radio... And the remote (which does have this ability) isn't available in Canada through any means. So basically if I want to change songs I need to unplug my zune, cycle through to the song, play it, then plug the zune back into the radio... Great design team iHome, real bunch of geniuses you got.

  • ?? I just push "right" on my Zune's touch pad and it moves to the next song. No need to unplug the Zune.

A remote would be nice though. Agree about that.

  • THANK YOU! When I first tried this it didn't work and I didn't think you could change songs like that. I guess I didn't press it hard enough.

I sent a disgruntled complaint to iHome regarding their remote control which is unavailable in Canada, and how much this limits the use of their product. They've offered to send me a free remote, free of charge.

So if you live in Canada and really want that remote, write them a well-mannered complaint.

  • Does it go off as a alarm?

  • Your choice - you can set it to go off with your Zune music, with the radio, or with its built-in buzzer.

  • Can it work with new 120 GB Zunes and flash based Zunes.

  • thats my ihome

  • what's the song played in the alarm?

  • weezer-the sweater song

  • how much does it cost?

  • $99

  • this is like the ihome 1h9

  • wow good job that was a nice soild review i feel like a learned a lot and congrats on getting a review copy of the zune clock that must be cool

  • i want this
