I came here wanting more Bebop and after this I want even more. This was Awesome, excellent writing for a video game adaption. One thing I wondered though, when does this all take place? After the last episode? Or is it somewhere inbetween the 26 sessions like 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door'?
Great sub sokodei! I always wanted this game to get a North American release and was really saddened that it got canceled at the last second. Thanks for the upload! Any chance of doing more JAP Game Fansubs? If so, might I suggest "Yakuza:KENZAN" (Ryū ga Gotoku Kenzan)?
It doesn't appear in the game, so I didn't use it here. The ending theme, titled "Einstein Groovin'", was composed by Yoko Kanno specifically for the game.
It's amazing that the writing for CB is so good that even when you superimpose it onto a mediocre game the story and characters and even the ending are still fantastic. I love the lost in translation ending.
Of course, the game wasn't so great when I had to play through each action sequence used in "Song" at least half-a-dozen times to get enough good footage for editing. The last fight with Ronald was compiled from almost two dozen takes. But the end result was worth it.
Though she's not in the cutscenes much, Ed has a big presence in the game. During gameplay, she pops up in a video box to give you hints and warnings. But that didn't fit the "movie" feel I was going for, so I didn't use those parts.
Beating the game unlocks a brief mission where you play as Ed & Ein in a sidestory to the main plot. Ed tries to make a song to impress Steve with, while Ein searches for a gift to impress Ellen's dog, Ann. But again, it didn't fit the "movie" so it was left out.
Interesting stuff. Sounds like they spared no expense when it came to fan service, here. I hope they take as much care in the live action Keanu Reeves flick. Wait, I actually hopes that gets shit canned. I'm not sure who they are making that flick for.
Couldn't you make this extra's translation? Well, at least with this brief explanation I'm a bit aware of what this Ed and Ein mission was about. Despite it is really hard to think why those guys from the bounty TV show had to do with this context.
Finally I understand the game i once played. Thanks alot. I always though that Boss was one of the pirates after the Treasure. So that was the real story...
Amazing job you did here. Really shows. Thanks on behalf all Cowboy Bebop fans!

I know it's not in. I just wish it was. :D I mean the whole game is pretty much another CB-episode. And TRFB is my favorite song ever so...

no "see you space cowboy"?

Thanks for translating/posting this! I got all the story (with the REAL voice actors) without having to suffer a seemingly mediocre game.

The game is really not bad.

Fair enough. I am a big fan of beat'em ups and being able to play as the old crew would be a treat.
The only thing that seems to be lacking in this game is screen time for Ed and Ein, which is kind of sad. I do love me some E&E action.
