@Elurin Nope; he existed prior to this movie in a comic book created by Disney. But I think his first on-screen appearance was in a propaganda cartoons, "The Spirit of '43", encouraging Donald Duck to save his money to pay income taxes and help America win the war.

@Elurin no, his first cartoon was 'uncle scrooge and money' back in 1967. His first apperence was in a comic book called 'Christmas on Bear Mountain' in 1947. This was the creators (Carl Barks) first idea for a old, weathly uncle. Originally, he was only to appear in that comic but Barks ended up seeing him being used as a motivator for other stories, as well as a teaching tool for he gives up his money for a girl but not his nephews in a Ducktales episode.

I've always thought that the boy, girl, and the little boy playing Tiny Tim are Mickey and Minnie's real children. Wouldn't be surprised anyway.

Also, doesn't the sad look on Mickey's face when he's at Tiny Tim's grave break your heart? I myself always hate to see a great character so hurt and miserable, especially when it comes to characters like Mickey.
