  • Resetti got angry cuz the tracks didn't save!

  • Notice at end of video they are standing around scratching themselves and getting paid for it

  • @Olddog231 you would rather them sit?

  • train

  • @tixonok1 OMG

  • where is the engine?

  • Rails was extremely used, in accordance to heavy wagons charges, isn't it?

  • I have an idea that the construction quality of these rails is very poor. It doesen't really look like those in Germany, simply.

  • @berndpfe

Germany currently uses re-enforced cement ties on their tracks, while wood ties are still commonly used throughout the USA. In remote areas of the USA, many of those wood ties are indeed in very poor condition (old, rotting, splitting, etc). Cement ties are being installed on more commonly used tracks, but it will be a very long time before all tracks nationwide are modernized.

  • excuse me, dave summers NEEDS to smoke a joint.

  • dave smmers NEEDS to smoke a joint.

  • is that ted nuggent

  • In case you couldn't tell, the crossing sustained heavy damage and the track would need to be replaced -_-

  • 0:32 I farted there

  • Woah! He talked super fast!

  • emphazema or somethin

  • Chicken Shit eXpress shortline? That's what they get fro letting them sell jobs to the lowest bidder...

  • @genoaweaver1 Actually most shortlines are sold to the highest bidder. That is why there is a bid. Otherwise they would just give it away.

The Class I railroads sell lines hoping to keep the traffic but at the same time receive as much as they can from the buyer.

  • 0:52, anybody else notice he whistled like Herbert the Pervert from Family Guy?

  • @TheDylanJoyce

    New dentures needed.

  • our infrastructure is in such a shit condition, this is called not enough employees in this field or not enough funding

  • @killallianceftw That's because our country is too busy providing *AID* to everyone else around the world, and the wars we seem to get involved in. If we took care of our "own" for a even a few years this would be a rare event. But we continue to get involved in everyone else's affairs and hand out money to everyone other than our own people, so this happens more and more :(

  • @railrdr523

    LOL

  • So, what am I looking at?

  • That a mess.... But would be more freaky sitting in a car at the gates and suddenly see the coal cars rolling somewhere off the tracks... BRRR...

  • OH NO! 3 DAYS... Hell here in California it takes 3 months just to get a pothole filled!

  • damn bells going off for days!

  • 3 days? Noooooo I don't think anyone can wait that long!!

  • and thats why you dont put a penny on the tracks

  • america must get 100's of derailments because they run trains on shit track

  • ?? No, where I live they replace them annually, And they take a long time to ensure that they wont have a good chance of shit like that happening.

  • @thetreeregimovies Anually? They replace the rails every year? What are they made from? It must be reall poor quality steel

  • @MickeyLove01 Rail steel is the highest carbon content steel you can purchase. It ISN'T replaced annually.

  • @ctempleton3 It wasn't me who stated that fact. I doubted the statement and asked the question.

  • If thats in saginaw, its probably the Great Lakes Central Railroad. If its earlier, its the Tuscola & Saginaw Bay railroad.

  • @spiritomb Nope thats LSRC's track just out of the saginaw yard. CSX use to own that track.

  • Probably see much more of this type of thing with our national infrastructure in such a state of disrepair.

  • Well, maybe with federal run infrastructure. As for the railroad, probably not since it is privately owned. If you noticed, the way the rails were put in place were they were bolted together. That wouldn't have happened if the rails were welded together. But the track looked deplorable anyhow, so it was bound to happen

  • pangita pu aning commentator. dili kabalo. way ayo! sige lang ug catch ug iyang breath, letse!

  • Am I imagining it, or did those tracks look like pieces of crap?

  • They do, and that's why it derailed...

  • @RobloxWideNews almost like the steel bridge in evil dead

  • Im no track expert, but they do look a tad shabby huh??? Badly designed for a definate.

  • Looks to me like a spur line, rather than a through line. Spurs often get only minimal maintenance, since they never see high-speed traffic. This means they often look shabby.

  • 3 days not too bad I have been trying to get exempt signs on track crossings that are disconnected from rail and 6 months later no signs. Here you loose your license for 60 days for any rail infraction first offense so trucker buses better stop well the motoring public will text on etc and here you have a speed variance of 50 plus with trucks having to stop La1 outside Dow chemical N of

plaquemine La The area is littered with the proof of what I say I have contacted state railroad no result!!!

  • That commentator really seemed like he was struggling to read his cue cards..

  • to me it sounded like someone pretending to be a reporter.

  • @midrange18 if it was a reporter why would they say " closed M-13 which is in north washington" Shouldn't you know it's in North washington if you live near there

  • @midrange18 its local news so it is not going to be that good.

  • @midrange18 train Derailment

  • it took me four days to hitchhike from saginaw and i've come to look for america

  • CSX?

  • "AND THATS THE WAY IT IS"

  • # days is doin a great job. It took bnsf 1 week to fix a grade crossing in imperial,mo. BUT they did a great job.

  • Too bad they didn't say why the train derailed in the first place.

  • no shit it needs repairs.

  • 0:42 looks like a lego trainset track

  • Friggin jointed rail

  • hahahahaha!!!

  • It'll be closed for at least 3 days, unless those fat bastards standing around with their hands in their pockets dont do some work.

  • roflmao so true... all those construction workers? taking their 10 hour lunch break...

  • im sure you kno what its like working construction?

  • Looks like A bnsf unit coal

  • That track looks like a spur or siding which is not heavily used.

If that is the case then you would not expect it to be in as good a state as the rest of the line.

If the rails were worn, well would that cause the train to jump the rails?

I would wonder about the integrity of the ties the rails were fixed to. I don't know if they were concrete or wood. Rot might have caused the track to come away from the tie if the spikes let go.

What was the official enquiry verdict?

  • ouch!!!!!

  • Rails look knackered anyhow? Poorly maintained?

  • the train did a great job of the crossing grade.

  • Damn!

  • Is that BNSF? I usally see those unit coal trains near saginaw with BNSF gevo's.

  • Except that one spot where the broken rail was sticking out, it did not look ripped up enough to close. One can still drive safely slowly over it especially when no repair yet is being done.

They should have allowed traffic to continue over the crossing.

    Who makes these decisions?

    Thanks

  • So, why close the road?

Appears vehicles could still slow and cross the track. Not any worse than pot-holes I've seen.

  • They can't fix the crossing if they allow traffic to continue over it, and it was necessarily closed for the saftey of the cars, but because trains still have to carry coal and other cargo across the railroad! Cars can take a detour, trains can't necessarily do the same...

  • i agree 100% man were i live they close them for 2 or 3 days to repair them not do to a wreck just for there own safety
