  • Shocked! ! Rapid promotion of photography tutorials website: phh.nn.cx

  • This is very helpful, I take photography at school, and my teacher seriously makes no sense and this here makes a lot more sene to me, Thanks!

  • time nor gravity are dimensions ...

  • Thhanks for the tips I have added all 5 to my favourites folder

  • this feels i am going to uni on the holidays. exactly what it is! I am here to learn ;)

  • weird dude

  • Thank you Jim, for your tips and inspiration.

  • Not Bad Lecture Though, Excellent Delivery

  • Relatively boring picture, now becomes a moment of disaster Looming, technically speaking though there is a 6th Dimension but you cannot percieve it, only it effects ( Gravity ) 6th D as the man is thrown into the air, on car contact, and drops to the ground, but there again technically speaking ( Time Space Gravity ) TSG are the same & cannot be split, but we percieve them as seperate events, the amount of time it took for the man to move through space & be pulled to ground TSG 4 5 6 th D

  • Your right about the 4 Dimensions ( Height - Width - Depth ) = 3D & Adding the 4th Dimension of ( Time ) Time of exposure, CORRECT, however you failed to mention ( 5th Dimension of photography ) 5th D being of course ( Space ) Relative space around your composition, is relative to what surrounds your composition, e.g. body shot (man walking across the road) step back 10 paces now you see the car about to run him over, which you could not see before, 5th Dimension ( Spatial Awarness ) Relativity

  • I think Albainia is probably the best place for this so-called tutor.

  • in about 2 weeks i am going to buy the Fuji FinePix S1600 ... i know it's not a DSLR, but it's the first camera i'll get and the one which will introduce me into the world of photography... + i'm only 15 so i don't have the money ^^

    i'm so excited about it!!

btw thanks a lot for the lessons

  • I would be more happy if could teach us about nude photography.

  • cant wait to watch these man, thank you. BTW I am looking for this but for the film side of art .. cant find any info at all. I know photography and Film is the "same" but what i want to learn more about is how to deal with comosition in Film where a shot is cut to an another shot and then into another and so on..

  • I'm a beginner photographer. I'm doing it full time and I need all the help I can get. Your way of explaining things is great. Thank you for posting this.

  • Normally i stop watching these kind of video's after a few seconds but the fact you had a ''brain fart'' at the beginning with the tooth by tooth made me laugh so bad i kept watching and i actually enjoyed it.

i'm planning on getting a canon 450D and i need to learn loads

  • I got exactly what you were talking about with the axe analogy but I could easily see it being skewed into saying trust more in your tools than your skill. Seeing as strength could be equated to photographic skill and the axe could be equated to a camera. If you didn't get it , you might see it as "If you have a good camera you don't have to be 'strong' at photography". Very good intro though will continue watching.

  • i just got myself a canon rebel G and i love it! thanks for these tips, i cant wait to apply them in my photography :)

  • i got my new camera, and i take pictures of EVERYTHING!

  • This whole tutorial is incredible! Thank you! (I especially like the fact that you uploaded it on my birthday. LOL!)

  • These are wayyy better than expert village.

  • my nikon D90 will be at my door soon!!

thanks for the video lesson dude

  • @ExNihiloJimmy Shoot some shots and let me see them!

  • Thanks. I will after I get some great shots worthy sharing with you folks.

  • @Jimbacsi woo i just got my d90!!! went form the "old school" 6 mp d40, great little camera, it will be missed.!!!!!! the d90 is very nice and theres a lot to learn about it, big difference form an entry level to an intemediate level DSLR. woo! shot my brothers wedding with it this weekend!

  • hmmmmmm wt r u saying , no body will get u untill u show them practically how to do this all, ur examples are good to listen but no body will understand it until u show them how ot do that

  • nobody? Well, I can see how some things here require a basic knowledge of one's own camera, however, based on the comments, I'd say MOST get it. If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help (or anyone else here who is commenting).

  • Thanks

  • (CONTINUATION OF THE COMMENT BEFORE THIS ONE): And then take a picture of what they were looking at and incorporate it in my big picture so it will give a multiple viewer perspective in my photo. Does that make sense to you? Because it is a really cool concept to me.

  • Your focus on stopping to observe what is actually going on around you spurred an idea in my mind. I imagine being out in the city where there are lots of people. I take a picture where at least 10 people are in my shot. They are each looking at something different. After taking that photo, I ask them if I can take a picture of what they were looking at when I took the picture.

  • thats an awesome idea. it would be hard to pull off though if the people were not initially involved

  • thank u from albania

  • great, thanks a lot. this is really helpful for a young 'beginner' photographer like myself

Sure, learning the ins and outs of the camera itself is important (which many people get bogged down by) but your own skills as a photographer and to the same degree- as an observer- are just as, if not, more important

well in my opinion anyway! it's this kind of knowledge i'm desperate to learn from a mentor here in Australia !!

    thanks again

  • Great work done , wants from info from you ... i m in flickr , just join to lear ... more , please help me learn more on photography...( India)

  • thanx Jim for all your trouble you have gone through to do this. I will use your tips!!!! Ginette

  • It was my pleasure! Use it for good! :)

  • @Jimbacsi what was she going to use it for ? .. evil?

  • zzzzzz

  • yeahhh Albania

  • thank You

  • thanks

  • from Philippines THANKS..........

  • This is a great series - you can take that to the bank :)

    Thanks for posting!

  • I could, but I'd rather take it to the masses. Enjoy, learn and teach someone else!

  • Wait...axes have teeth? :P

  • HAAA!!! Good point! I didn't catch that! I was just so eager to tell the illustration I forgot what I was sharpening! (mild embarrassment)

No, axes don't have teeth. But if they did, you could sharpen them. And saws don't have blades either, but if they did, you could sharpen them too. I can't put anything past you, man! :))
