  • GREAT VIDEO!!

  • Boardman are pretty much the best value for money bike around atm

  • 19:07 nicked

  • name of song? it sound like red hot chili pepers

  • song name? anyone?

  • I <3 my boardman...best bike ive ever owned.....amazing feel, response, handling :D

  • Why dont they bring them into singapore ...

    I want one =(

  • Also, I resent the "numpty at Halfords" comment. I'm sure that some stores do have a few "numpties" working at them, but at my last store nearly every member of the cycles staff rode pretty frequently, and knew their way round a bike better than some independent shop staff I've met.

Instead of calling them numpties, how about saying what was wrong with the staff? Halfords can't exactly improve standards if all they've got to go on is, "the guy that served me/built my bike is a numpty!"

  • As a side note, they don't fall apart.

I have worked in Halfords (yes, there's a slight conflict of interest there :D) and the main problems I've seen with these have been fork issues (which would be rockshox's problem! And always fixed pretty sharpish) and I've seen two bikes with a cracked pivot, but from the customers own description, they were after some hefty abuse.

  • I had a cannondale full sus had it five years 2300 pounds worth.

I nailed my mates boardman comp FS round the west highlands for 140 miles.......

Cannondale has now gone and I own a comp fs. The frame is great so is the gear on it.

can't see why people knock them chris boardman knows his stuff and oversees all new models and has major input.

The frames are hand finished....and if you work out the RItchey wheels and finishing kit to buy on there own your looking at big money along with the rock

  • I love the comments saying "they all fall apart" when they dont ! Only sombody that, lets say knows nothing about bikes would be able to make their bikes "fall apart". You have to do a thing called servicing, this helps to keep the bike working how it should! Know what I mean?

  • Really good ad.

  • Just ordered my Chris Boardman Hybrid Pro, and pick it up April 23rd...I just can't wait and start to clock up some serious miles, mind you, I am 35 and not really ridden properly since i was.....18?!

  • to @pmodes

i'm 43 and haven't done any serious cycling for over 10 years.

Just picked up a boardman limited edition mtb on monday and it was brilliant.

The guy in halfords ,who is a serious cyclist himself, was trying to talk me out of getting a boardman, saying the GT was a better bike.

But when he saw it he was gobsmacked.

They are a fantastic looking bike and with specs of much more expensive bikes.

  • This ad is AWESOME! Love the ending!

  • I have 2 Boardmans. 1 Road 1 Mtb. They are fantastic bikes. I used to work in Halfords but have left and work in the independent sector now and I can tell you now that very little if anything can compete with the quality and spec.

  • @83Das for £1,200?

  • I love this video.. cant wait to get mine out when the weather gets err warmer.. i'm a bit of a pussy. later dudes

  • Why don't people just stop biting at Boardman? The bikes are just fine and the service from Halfords is pretty much okay.

I have a Hybrid Pro and have done thousands of miles on it and I have to say that it is a great bike that was well put together and what's more, the spec for the money is fantastic.

All those Boardman biters out there are just brand whores.!

  • I have a basic Boardman Hybrid, done 3000 happy miles on it in the past year and it still feels and handles as good as the day I bought. it. @kinfast: Stop hating. I think you need to give one a try. They are pretty good.

  • they must have used about 8 bikes to make that short film.... as they all fall apart :)

  • You must work for a rival company. Either that or you've mixed Chris up with Stan...

  • Aye but which song?

  • Anyone know the music for this ad?

  • I tweeted CB and he didn't even know! Sounds like RHCP but don't think it is

  • You wouldn't do that on a bike that was spannered by a numpty at Halford's... you'd have no teeth left. Shame about the naff opening shot... why isn't everthing shot with the same grading? Amateur hour.

  • lovely commute, nice bike although I hate Halfords

  • Pitch dark at 18:05 now. Don't fancy that commute now ;-)

  • 19:07 - some scrote nicks the bike from outside the house.

  • Lol, just what I was thinking

  • it will be safe......who wants to nick a shite boardman!!!

  • Cwmcarn top section and parts of the downhill track also other bits of the loop and some other close bridleways

  • Love commuting on my HT Pro, fantastic bike, arrive at work covered in mud most days at present...

  • Could that be Cwmcarn. Looks like it at the top.

  • where does he work? are they hiring?? how's the housing market near where he is?!

  • super bike. damn fine commute too

  • Looks like whinlater
