After the Communist's took over Czechoslovakia in 1948 this church, as did all churches in that country, fell into disrepair until 1989 when Communism collapsed in Eastern Europe. The Church of The Infant Jesus of Prague was restored for the Czechs by German Catholics in restitution for the Nazi occupation of Bohemia and Moravia during WW II.
