  • hello Jberni do u think gold Etfs aer a sound investment?

  • According to 'stellaconcepts' on YT the DJIA IS crashing (not in nominal terms) but in REAL terms. All you have to do is observe what has been happening to USD index.... so your prediction may be correct after all.

  • Some gold and US dollars changed hands. Everyone knew it was going to happen. What's the big deal?

Gold is durable, dollars can be deleveraged out of existence. Something to remember.

  • the stock market will not crash. it is propped up by international fiat money, therefore it will continue on the inflation deflation cycle for as long as idiots buy into it...

  • IMF is benevolent creature noble just and right sacrificing 500 tons of gold for u not hoping to get it back for pennies on the dollar just a few years latter when new currency takes place

people who think that are enemies of NWO

  • FACTS:

India had 20% of it's reserves in Gold in 1991.

It fell to 3.6% in 2009. So it bought 200tonnes so that the amount of Gold will be 6% of it's reserves.

So all the "analysts" are reading too much into India's move.

  • See how the dow hardly moved today. That is suspended animation. But this cannot last. Markets are naturally dynamic. I agree w/ the previous comment. Something has got to give, & soon. No one can keep the market still for very long.

  • I like your videos, I always learn something. I believe that the shear magnitude of this crisis has not hit home in the U.S. I was a business owner, I had to close my business, I seen several other business owners that had to do the same thing when the banks pull back all their lines of credit. everything is connected something has to give.

  • I have been watching you videos for almost a year now and I would like to say that I very much appreciate your professional presentation. You are able to explain complex issues simply and that is always a BIG plus for the common man. Thank you....Toney

  • If Russia stops taking the USD, our goose is cooked! China accepts the USD so they can purchase energy from Russia. If Russia does not take USD neither will China.

  • Sehr gut.

  • I'm just curious; what is going on in

western Europe with the econmic crisis?

  • Thank you for this valuable informations

  • My question was deeply flawed. It was about US Congress $6500 tax credit for homeowners who have owned their house for at least five years. I guess that is a good thing.

  • Excellent video, thank you......

  • Another geat video, you're the one of the best economist ever!! THANKS

  • Do you consider that America will easily give up the hegemon status of the Dollar easily?

  • Easily - not !

But game theory tells me that there is an advantage to destroy the Dollar in shorter rather than longer period of time

  • Yes

they have delayed the correction - wrong move on the chess board.

There now is no resistance on Gold from $1090 - to $500,000USoz.

If you have not bought your metals by now....well.....

    let me just say

it is close to midnight for the USA.

  • Latest news is that physical gold availability is low !

  • your right

  • Ihre Website ist sehr gut; viele wichtige Informationen, zu lesen.

  • JB,

Could you site the 30 minute primary dealer to Fed balance sheet stat? Where did you get that? I know Chris Martenson (Crash Course originator) has been building a case with Fed stats that, I don't recall if it was months, weeks, or days (it wasn't minutes), after a Treasury bond auction the Fed's balance sheet grew. If you are correct, that the Fed is loosing its cover as the major buyer of our bonds, we are in dangerous territory.

Great Hitchcock analogy, exactly what it feels like.

  • Excellent video. Is there a key event that will likely trigger the chain of events that will lead to the dollar collapse?

  • Can't wait to see Obama and Bernanke squirm their way out of a U.S. dollar collapse. People I know here in Texas are increasing purchases of food, guns, ammunition, and precious metals. If the Feds in Washington D.C. collapse with the dollar they surely won't be missed.

  • Got it........ Shorting Gold above 1084

  • Thanks for all your videos.

I had a dream the other night, the DOW fell 900 points in a split second, followed by another drop of 300 points... and it happened very fast. Of course, this was just a dream but it was scary.

  • Ok, now I've got chills going up my back.

Three nights ago - i dreamt nearly the same thing. I was watching from a distance and the dow fell over 500 pts. in one split second- like a big rock falling to the ground...then I heard everyone gasp and scream.

  • 200 tonnes of gold for just $8billion. Serves to illustrate how imbalanced the price of gold and the supply of dollars is.

If there's a USD crisis, what might that mean for Yuan and HKD? I see the HK monetary authority has been pumping HKD cash into the financial system to hold the peg at 7.75 the last 15 months. Ditto liquidity growth in China.

  • Synergistic convergence of a collapse. The perfect storm.

  • Just over 7 million oz of gold India bought! That will keep someone in curry (it's an English expression).

  • Excellent Berni. Pray for us here in the US

  • Yes, government (as opposed to private) could control money supply and use it for goods and services rather than narrow private interest use it for speculation. Islamic law forbids charging of compound interest - only simple interest

  • the indians swapped the usd for gold and the chinese too..big enough to have caused the market reaction today?i see a january event after a slow retail season..your thoughts?

  • mensch, du willst doch kohle mit den videos verdienen, dann hol dir doch bitte auch ein ansteck-micro! die dinger kosten nicht die welt und es ist echt hilfreich.

    LG

  • thanks

  • Great job as always and dont fret the Oct. miss. Check out Nouriel Roubini on CNBC today. New asset bubble will blow in 6-12 months and we are in a U-shaped recovery. If they would only listen to this guy, he should at the helm, especially when it comes time for the FEDs exit. So 6-12 months and The Dollar will hit the fan.

  • sehr gut!

    Danke,

    Thank you for your analysis.

  • Thank you for your videos.

  • This reminds me of the events prior to the fall of the Roman Empire silver flowed into the Empire and Gold flowed East and out of the Empire. Now again its from the 'West' to the 'East'

  • Interesting - I was beginning to question the dollar break down thesis - meaning - returning of the liquidity trap late08/early09 - The Indian Central Bank buying half of the IMF's avail gold is the signal. China, Brazil, Saud and Russia will get in the game. The turks ending the dollar trade aswell - going to be alot of pressure coming on the dollar. Still concerned about a SUDDEN unwinding of the carry trade - if/when -- goes into commods, real estate, treasuries - lol - strange times.

  • I believe Rubini is wrong on that. I don´t see how this backswing could happen - unless they would "violently" bankrupt banks in Europe.

  • Your videos are cool. Thanks.

  • I love the Hitchcock analogy - very true.

  • You're right! I was sipping my coffee.

  • The goal of a central bank is to create inflation. The real one that is.

  • It's gonna be Ok until at least Christmas...

  • Agreed; xmas is the next big event and when the figures come out in January we're going to see some excrement hitting some rotary air circulators.

  • I thought the 'job' of the central bank was to control currency to control all.

  • Thanks for posting. I quit trying to predict these markets when I realized just how manipulated and illegitimate they were. I think the markets are mostly political - criminal now, and it is a shame that we are not seeing scores of prosecutions and long sentences.

I'm still hanging on to the gold and silver bullion I purchased in '98, but I can't say it's been a wonderful ride. Making money is great until you realize that you are watching the "fall of the Republic" in the US. God help us.

  • Very well said.

  • I love that I've beat the markets, but it's very sad to see the US go down the toilet.

  • The US has been going down the toilet for decades, this isn't anything new. The poverty rate has been going up for decades, debt levels up for decades, manufacturing declining for decades, health care and general health has also been declining.

    Nothing new to see here.

  • @fortyspikes:

Haha. That's one of the problems with Americans. You think that something (in reality just a figment of your imaginations) called "God" will help or save you. An amusing concept. As jberni1 says, good luck - you're going to need it!

  • @weka

I understand your frustrations with people, but I would like to ask you for giving respect to people in this channel. Most of them are well educated and have travelled. Although looking at your own house could be helpful. Angela Merkel is definitely worse than any other nations president...

  • Not frustrations, but rather amusement.

Respect? Respect is earned, and I certainly don't respect Americans or America as a country. Now, for sure, there are some Americans I respect (I am good friends with a bunch of them), but most are pretty ignorant and stupid.

Just ignore my comments if you have a fragile ego.

  • I don't need luck weka, I'm a son of the living God.

And don't worry about us over here in the US. There is a remnant still alive that remembers where we came from. DC and Wallstreet have been taken, but Mainstreet remains. It won't take that many to turn this ship, it never has.

So you tend to your own house, we'll tend to ours.

    Don't tread on me.

  • Sorry about the late reply. Just discovered your reply.

Oh come on. Get a thicker skin.

Regarding tending to houses, if only Americans would stick to their own house and leave other people's houses alone, then I'll consider not bothering with you at all.

    Have fun!

  • Your videos are excellent.

  • Thank you for your insight. Please keep it up. I am happy that your insight is not all hyped up and full of fear, just facts and logic.

  • What did India gave to the IMF to get the gold, dollars?

  • As far as I understand yes!

  • So India is the "first" to start dumping their USD?

  • Now I'm just concerned how quickly everyone else starts to follow India's lead...

  • Thank you as always. You are appreciated by a lot of folks here.

  • The only central bank that recently announced that it's gonna sell gold was the Russian CB. They said their plan was to dump around 50 metric tonnes to the market, well maybe that's just a rhetoric and they look at that as the 'verbal intervention' and a last attempt to suppress gold prices before they go to 2000 bucks an ounce of higher. Basically this long standing system of gold suppression by the CBs is breaking up right before our eyes, while decision to sell gold now is crazy.

  • I think they would more likely buy more from the IMF then sell

  • That who owns the gold is the one who rules...India, very smart, smart, smart move.

  • CB of India .. not England !

    LOL

    ;-)

.. as you already corrected later!

  • Yes, don´t know how that could happen...

  • Excellent video.

    Thank you for posting.

  • that was a good coffee

  • Nice movie correlation :) thanks for the video.

  • if they bought that much at these prices what does that say about what is to come?

  • Dr. Berninger-

    Always appreciate your analysis...

Could you or anyone here please speculate on why you believe (ultimately) the banks are holding on to 1.2 trillion?

What's the scenario that you see?

    Thank you for your insight

  • Given that a record number of banks failed last weekend and that commercial real estate failures are ahead...it is quite clear they prepare for their off balance sheet SIVs to fail

  • Thank you

  • could this be why so many banks are accepting very low cash offers for foreclosed homes, instead of financing perfectly good borrowers at a higher price?

  • this was my question also, thank you for asking, but in googling sivs wiki says they quit that in 2008, so thinking they may have evolved into something else, see nwosigns vid from yesterday and the part on the llc's created: also there is something jim willie mentioned called interest rate swaps, there are dots trying to connect. still learning, that is i hope. thanks to jberni1 education sharing w/us.

  • I dont think your prediction is going to be too far, it really seems somthing is going to give anytime soon.

  • You watch to much bad TV

  • lol

  • I drink tea. Anyway, excellent overview. Aol ceo said "I can predict the future, I just dont know when it will happen." That seems true of any type of prognostication. Still, a broken watch is correct twice a day & if you wait long enough, anything can happen. But I agree, there is most likely a crash.

  • No one knows exactly what/when/how things will happen BUT, if you have a friend who is always borrowing money, not paying their rent or bills on time, not going to work, continues to borrow from Peter to pay Paul... you know his/her life will end badly, unless they drastically

change their lifestyle. You don't know

how badly it'll end or exactly when. They might get away with for a lot longer than

    you thought possible.

  • The stock market will crash before world war 3 starts. At that moment, the price of gold will skyrocket, and so will the price of oil.

  • and the price of silver even more...

  • Dont you mean the Central bank of Indian?

  • which is why he made the notation (he said hups instead of oops, but ok)

  • Are you saying that the USA is now officially Bankrupt?

  • No, I wanted to say: "inofficially"

  • the proper word is 'unofficially'

  • I'm sure he appreciates you correcting his English, how's your German comming along?.

  • Yes, he probably did appreciate it, as learners of new languages usually do.

  • But did he ask for your help?, I think not. Do you really go through life contradicting everyone's spelling/ puntuation or grammer?. As far as I'm concerened it's a little rude to correct someones English unless you can do so in their language. So don't pat yourself on the back for knowing how to speak English.. save the self congratualtions for when you've learned German.

    Gute Nacht

  • First of all, I wasn't the one who corrected him; I'm just saying that I don't see anything wrong with it.

It isn't rude to correct them. It is a needed part of the learning process. This is known to anybody who has ever made a serious effort to learn another language.

Please do not interpret helpfulness as self-congratulations. Who can correct the mistakes of a learner, if not a native speaker of the target language?

  • Ich habe kein Schloss, und mein Konto

    ist nicht so groß

  • DavidAKZ:

"I do not have a lock, and my account is not so large"

Dude.. what ARE you on about???? ; )

  • I thought that Schloss was also another word for castle.

  • I thought Schloss was a castle . Dr B?

  • Schloss = Castle | (key)-lock

    Schluss = End

    Why do u ask?

  • Thank you

  • Thank you for admitting that your prediction failed. Other predictors have just forgotten and swept this mis predictions under the rug.

  • Dr. Berninger, i just saw a video with Nouriel Roubini saying the carry trade is facing an inevitable bust.... i find this topic confusing but it doesn't sound good.

  • Economic ECLIPSE

  • Could you explain what you see here?

    Thanks!

  • just posted the video watch?v=xIEoa3F5o0M

  • thanks.. so it'll all come at us at once.

  • We just had our financial adviser in regarding our pensions 30 years ago it sounded great not so great now and lots of brits have seen their pension funds dwindle.

  • Due no doubt to inflation ?

  • The movie analogy was good.

  • Hitchock movie is a great analogy!

  • Thanks for bringing up the insurance fact... that dawned on me late last year.

If someone has been paying for an insurance policy and the currency is constantly devalues, then they've been paying premiums with valuable dollars, but will eventually have a return in dollars which are worth less (eventually worthless).

My coffee is awesome, btw. Thanks! :)

  • thanks for the update

  • very good , the crash is just around the corner , the fed are holding up the markets , like u said in the hitchcock movie its going to be a shocker .

    the end.

  • wap, wap, wap the sound of shit hitting the fan !!! 5*****
