  • I agree, love that 3rd mouthpiece.

I also like the face at 0:00

  • I meant third

  • What size is the second mouthpiece and should I get a megatone or an xstream

  • I play on a shilke 14a4a, what monette mouthpiece should I move to if i want a similar one to the mouthpiece I have but ... monette.

  • @AFMWebAdmin I would suggest finding a dealer near you that would let you try a few out before you decide, but if you're set on the size of that mouthpiece you can head over to their website and figure out which one comes closest in relations to that mouthpiece. (monette.net) Also, it's not out of the question to give the shop a direct phone call to ask em a few questions before forking over that money. If they help you out and you decide what you want you can order while you're on the phone. =)

  • MrLambo, I'm with you I play on the same size megatone....

  • ta meu velho me da um desses ai

    tu tem um monte cara^^

  • Stealthxassassin117

I would recommend the vincent bach 3c. I use this mouthpiece when I play and I am starting my fourth year of playing the trumpet. So far my range is from low f# up to double high c!

  • dam i wont a monnete trumpet they look sexy but i cant pay 8000 $

  • Do the more cylinder mouthpieces help with the extreme high notes?

  • quem póde póde que num póde se sacode.

  • I like the third mouthpiece that prove

  • Superb trumpet player. I wanna be this good someday and I want a monette trumpet so badddd!!!!!!

  • @beastndownlow44 lol me too going to get a new trumpet for band. wish i could have a monette

  • Someone make a video that just loops from 0:20 to 0:38 like 30 times.

  • How does different mouthpieces affect your playing? Does it affect range? Do all mouth pieces fit in any trumpet?

  • @asianbeaner2 Just about any mouthpiece will fit in any trumpet. Yes mouthpieces do matter, the unified standard trumpet mouthpiece is the 3C. It's a very good mouthpiece for really any play style. (Look up Arturo Sandoval, he uses 3C) There is A,B, and C. This refers to how deep it is. This is the most important detail there are many others (very minor) but nothing is more influential than cup size. I prefer B just b/c it fits the way I play. /watch?v=tHIxM8nUALo Watch this if your interested.

  • @NDguy191 Dont forget that there is also a D. I use a 3D mouthpiece

  • @LOLNoobs1233 You use a D? I knew they existed but never thought anybody ever used them

  • @NDguy191 Well you found a person who use one

  • Does anyone know the mouthpiece to buy for a non-monette trumpet ?

  • were can i find the first mouthpeice to buy? i dont see it in the monette mouthpeice chart and i dont see it in a any store

  • im in love with that trumpet

  • oh my..... so very very very good.

  • did all of the mouthpieces get stuck? ive never had that issue with any of my trumpets but anyways that was pretty beasty trumpet playing

  • anyone else think the last one is just a big ass french horn mouthpiece?

  • If you looked up "BEASTMODE" in the dictionary, his photo would be in it.

  • @coolstuff150 or do u mean godplayer? ;)

  • screw the mouthpiece where do i buy a "this guy"

  • pull out mouthpiece. Ehh close enough

  • Nothing wrong with this guy.

  • WOW! AMAZING!

  • i love this guy's flexibility. in a small moment, he can go from a screaming high beast to a low warm jazz sound. fantastic

  • wat kind of mouthpiece is usually for higher register?

  • @trumtrumifyable

That's a really complicated bloodbath of a debate, but besides A LOT of practice to build a stable embachoure, a shallow cup mouthpiece is going to make it a little easier to hit high notes, really won't increase your range at all and will usually have an effect on your tone: making it brighter and sometimes very shrill

  • @CaptainJazz92

im intending to order a monette mouthpiece.

Im into jazz and screams. can you or anyone tell me which size/type mouthpiece shd i buy. mainly for high register

  • This video should be titled "How to get Boatloads of Pussy".

  • @goluigi2196 no they were just expressing their honest opinion. get yr facts straight.

  • @alba444 meh. i was just being a real dick there :)

  • @goluigi2196 weird... one of the "like" buttons is upside down.

  • @varscht i believe so

  • Do you own all those trumpets sitting in the background?

  • @alerch95 He is at the monette trumpet factory so I'm going to guess they belong to monette and not Adam.

  • this is awesome but at 0:34 it looks like he jizzes his pants

  • i love the first moutpiece the best!!!

  • this is the guy u wanna be

  • 8 people are incredibly jealous

  • Which one was the second one?

  • Why do you use your 3rd valve for an "A" rather than 1&2 is it for ease of use or for less resistance?

  • @famguy2 Actually, the 3rd valve is always more in tune than 1st+2nd.

  • is the first song improv or an actual song because its awesome.

  • I would totally by a recording of his playing.

  • those are some crazy mouth pieces

  • love his playing on the last mouthpiece

  • ich kans besser

  • sick nasty good

  • What size was that 1st mouthpiece?

  • lol i still use the vincent bach 7c that came with my trumpet

  • @gayhorseseathaaay Can't you get a Bach 3c? It's much better for getting high notes and good tone.

  • @gayhorseseathaaay why limit yourself with a mouthpiece meant for only the very beginning players?

  • just lookin at this guy at first i thought he was gonna be some chump who couldnt really play. holy shit was i wrong

  • whats that third little tune he plays? love it.

  • wow...its amazing wat u could do with just three fingers aint it..lol..was that second peace a jazz peace?

  • whats the last song?

  • im not gay but do me

  • Thank you for showing some skin @ 1:21 of this video. Trumpet players are so hot!

  • jeez those are huge, compared to my stock bach 5c, lol

  • I know ' each player develope own sound . If he play same music in the 3 mouthpiece will sound same.

  • nice vid.

for THE guaranteed way to play high trumpet visit my page.

  • what was the 2nd size of the mouthpiece, and is shallow?

  • dude, this was great man

  • lol, it amazes me how ignorant some trumpeters can be. we're like family guys! we need to stick together.

  • Rofl, I like how every time he finishes trying a mouthpiece he's just like "...Meh." As if he didn't just beast the trumpet.

  • Comment removed

  • As great as he is, there is just no beating a monette.

  • @Dcannon91 ikr he so modest about everything lol

  • @Dcannon91 i kno rite

  • I am torn between mouthpiece one and three. One has that that classic bright tone to it and sounds good for screaming and marching bands. Mouthpiece three sounds like a cross between a french horn and an alto sax. In that respect I don't like it (doesn't sound like the instrument), but at the same time I am in love with it because it complements a player's signature technique with a their signature tone. However, mouthpiece two is great if you want to jump between the two styles.

  • He's playing them, all three, in different styles. Didn't try all three styles on all three mouthpieces, you can't get any info out of this vid except that he's a very talented player.

  • I wouldn't say that. I think it's a good indication of the comfort zone for each mouthpiece, like where the stylistic 'sweet spots' are for each one.

  • Nice video man!!! Adam Rapa's great!!!

  • If you want to see/hear something really wonderful, find Alison Balsom on YouTube and listen to Hummels Trumpet Concerto in Eb major....the rondo movement. You get a visual treat along with the aural pleasure. You can thank me later for mentioning it.

  • Awesome.

  • He is going to bend his valves like that!

  • the first two mouthpieces were better.

  • good stuff! You make it look sooooo easy...

  • eneds is better

  • You've got to be kidding me.

  • lol, believe me, he's not

  • ooook wutever u say

  • Eneds Is a good player, But he's not Adam Rapa. I think Eneds would agree.

  • Yes, your right there, his embouchure is perfect for him.

  • Maynard Ferguson is still alive, thanks.

  • No he's not....

  • Doc aint dead he is just retitired and lives in mexico for the moment.

  • ah, i didn't mean doc... i was calling the person who said maynard ferguson was dead doc... like bugz bunny

  • Adam Need to do some shows in the US, so does Allen Vizutti-actually they need to get together so I only have to buy one ticket!

  • OMG F@c%in& incredible

  • this guy is a beast at trumpet!!

  • i think u can start at any age im 14 and i started when i 8

  • so did i

  • man I love trumpet. I'm 33... do you think it's too late for me to start. I know nothing about playing music...

  • dude its never to late to do anything

  • Give it a shot. with some motivation and a good teacher you can learn anything :-)

  • yo. its awsome. im 16 and started at 8. i know people older then that who say the same thing. if your really into and have a good teacher also u can pick up pretty fast. u should go for. its a great experience

  • great

  • i like the first one

  • that last mpc looked like it was for a t-bone man! crazy deep...great sound though :)

  • Uh...what kind of trombone mouthpiece are you using?

That definitely does NOT look like a typical t-bone mouthpiece.

  • i know its not a t bone mpc. just sayin its a deep cup... things a bucket!

  • I'd say it looks more like a french horn mouthpiece on steroids. But it doesn't really have the shape of a trombone's.

  • *sigh*...it's an analogy people.... just saying the cup diameter is rather large.. of course it doesn't LOOK like a trombone mouthpiece

  • It's about the equivalent of a flugelhorn cup.

  • ive been to the factory! so fun

  • Yeah I have to agree with the other 9083475689745 people. This guy is very good. I'm a noob, but I get the impression a shallow mouthpiece with a small bore is good for the high notes and a brash in-your-face tone, and a deeper mouthpiece with a bigger bore is better for a smooth mellow tone. I dunno... I want a smooth mellow brash in-your-face tone so I guess I'm screwed hehehe

  • he sounds great his sound is like arturo sandoval dont take me wrong am only sayin his sound ok folks hes great ...........

  • this is what is reffered to as "perfect embrochure"

  • Who are you to judge his embrochure? It obviously works for him. Have you ever stopped to think that there really isn't a 100% correct way to play? Different things work for different people. Why do you think there are so many books that teach different embrochure setups? Maybe you should spend less time criticizing people on youtube and more time practicing.

  • OMG UR SUCH AN EXPURT!!!!1!!11!

IM ZO SORRY I SED ANYTHING AGENST U!!1!!!!11!1!!!

jackass, you just can't accept a good trumpet player when you hear one

have you ever heard mention of a Trumpet player by the name of Sergei Nakariakov?

he does EVERY possible thing you could think of DEAD WRONG, but he sounds absolutely mindblowingly amazing

look him up if you havn't and learn to accept a good trumpet player when you hear one
