It may be a muskie technique, but since that walleye, I've caught 2 pikes that followed my lures to the boat. Give it a try next time you have a fish follow man.

nope but i do know Donnie should use a net not only to keep himself safe but MOST IMPORTANTLY its better on the fish. But we could argue about this all day, "i don't need a net, i don't need a net. 40" maybe" that quote is laughable i don't care who you are! Plus that fish looked more like 44 and 5/16th's to me.
he actually mis-judges fish usually on the low-side always calling them smaller than they are...The fish is actually a nice fish and if he says its 44.5 it definitely was 44.5.

i agree 40" maybe ha! Either he missed spoke or he hasnt caught many 40", that fish is small and you ALWAYS USE A NET! makes for a safe release.
