The booing was a bit too loud for Bruanschweig, compared to what it should have been for Gatti, Cedolins - louder hopefully. Play this for the loggionisti who attended the Luisa Miller of the late 1980's at La Scala. That would have been the idea - the right idea. This was all one occasion that for what got done to Verdi's score and to how the orchestra of La Scala and its individuality usually can present itself, that the very worst manners would have been fully appropriate.
I think this performance is even worse than a bad performance. it was juste mediocre. IMHO mediocre performances deserve even more to be booed than a really bad performance.
If booing is a bad manner, than bad manners are healthy for opera.
I think that the audience of la scala just loves to boo people especially when Verdi is on. Booing furlanetto?....come on! you can't be serious (you may prefer another interpret for filippo but does furlanetto deserves a boo?) All the greatest interprets have been bood: la callas... pavarotti... Alagna...

Kotscherga was not that bad, should got that boo. Tenor and soprano are at the same level with him.
What surprised me is even Furlanetto got one boo, (although it was almost covered by applaus). Seems that those people just booing without much sence.
For Gatti, no matter firing the tenor, I think his conducting is fresh and inspiring. Those loggionisti should learn more about orchestral music.
The director and stage is actually not bad, much better than Wiener Staatsoper and London ROH ones.

l'inquisitore e don carlo hanno preso i fischi signorilmente e non hanno fatto come l'intelligentone di Alagna che se ne é andato.
