I work for t-mobile and every time i get a customer that that complains about the outage i feel so bad for them. I wish the engineers will hurry up with a resolution because more and more customers are canceling service. and i work in the flexpay retention department!!!! This is not a good thing. but (i try to credit my customers a little more than just the data feature) sorry for everyone who is suffering.

if you guys saved your contacts on your sim card you are good to go. just go to the contact list, press menu, settings, import sim contacts. then it will load all of your contacts that you saved on your sim card. and tmobile announced that your data MIGHT come back. they said it is a poor change it would come back but it is very disapointing that this outage is messing with everyone.

by the way if you didnt save your contacts on your sim card. most cases, your fucked

Instead of crediting us, I wish they would offer to all sidekick users the option to be able to break contract without fees so we can move on to another carrier who will provide the services we are requesting. (Of course this will never happen as they would lose too many customers). To me, having no contacts is the worst part. Best of luck to everyone who's stuck in this lousy situation :)

and you know what really pisses me off?

i upgraded to the sidekick lx today, and called the tmobile store before hand and asked if they fixed the whole sidekick thing, and he told me they did. so little ol' me goes and updates to the new sidekick, and i was super excited until i found that i had no contacts. no IM service, no email service, no internet period.

Ugh I've been 5 days without data! It's driving me crazy! I had the contacts deleted too, but I had all of my contacts saved on my SIM card, so I had them back in no time! :) hopefully they'll get data back!!!!

The battery on my sidekick crapped out on me and I've been soo lost without it, but looks like I wouldn't even be able to use it anyway. Now I don't feel so bad cuz I'm really not missing out on any "sidekick time" lol. Can you tell I'm slightly addicted to my sidekick? =]
