Warhammer Online: Archmage Creation & Gameplay

I beta tested this game and wanted always to buy it, got into WoW a lot and now headed over to EQ2 for a bit. I'll have to play this before Biowares Starwars comes out. Not sure i'd be into pvping as i burned out in WoW but i'd have fun just pveing and questing, maybe some RVR for gear and fun.

archmages are good at either offensive or defensive(healing) specs.. i'd suggest trying whichever sounds more fun and go with it... just don't forget to throw your groupmates a heal now and then regardless ;)

I could write a book on how they're different :) but the essential thing to know is that WAR is more PvP focused and is not a crazy level grind... they want you fighting, not farming (but you can still farm if you choose hehe)

WAR got this new place called LotD great place to farm some exp like lvl 5 to 18 in some days xD but you need to go rvr to get some nize gear

@NivekLavodnas every single person I know who plays that game engages in some sort of farming/grinding. getting to 80 is not enough, you need gear too. I get it though, you're awesome at WoW so this was an important comment to make.

it's the account you will eventually convert into your main account if you decide you like the game. this way any experience you gain during the trial isn't lost.

if you do, you just need to ensure you cancel before the trial is up to avoid being charged. easy peasy.

ok :). i downloaded the free trial again (as i gave up on my last one coz i didnt know what the master acc ment xD) but, i confirmed the account creation in an e-mail, and logged into the website, and the e-mail has told me to log into the portal and activate my account on the subscription page, and i cant see a subscription page anywhere :S. could u help me out on this one please :D

40 pve levels which can take anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months depending on how much you play. 80 rvr levels which only a few people have achieved since launch in september.

this is based on warhammer mythology, it's been around for 25 years... other games have pretty much copied this lore because the owners of the lore never let anyone make an MMO out of it till now.

Lets not use our balls for thinking. Sex is not part of warhammer and its pretty weary to have a ugly char and play with it for long time. Boobs is only one of many features a char can have and it really doesnt take much thinking to decide if you want them or not.

Its not like you should go yay boobs on your warhammer char either. If you do then thats a good reason to start looking for a girlfriend and get something real.

LOTR was a dissapointment for me after spending 2 years on WOW. it just didnt have that same quality and wasnt able to captivate me. the battlesystem is pale and gets boring quick. cant say anything about WAR cause im only downloading it right now.. but i expect a lot more from it than LOTR.
