i do cyclo cross on an islabikes its fast but because i am in england my races last to about an hour cyclo cross races have woods well most of the time and not all of the riders use cyclo cross some of them use mountainbikes.this one happons at night but lance armstrong is not as fast as before because he had cancer before wich took eight kilos of his body.early on in the race he got ahead of the rest and then just got so tierd so then that was his energy gon and the rest just caught him up.

Explain us how he could have a 48-49 hematocrit while riding his 1999 to 2005 TDF without EPO or blood transfusion?

Why had he just a 45% in 2009 despite his training at altitude since blood is monitored?

The UCI legal limit for hematocrit is 50% so he has not broken the rules and the hematocrit levels for everyone is different. L'Equipe published this story and they even said themselves that the story was faulty. What is more important is the false negative which the new blood passport is fighting. Lance was the most tested rider at this years tour and has he been convicted for doping? No!

You seems to confuse a lot of points.

No one was/is aloowed to increase his hematocrit by doping. The 50% exist because it's not possible to detect all EPO or blood transfusion. All science studies shows athletes can only increase hct by 3 points, for exemple 41 to 44, and hct decreases during competition. Lance' s naturel hct is 40-41. Even if 48-49 were in the acceptable range, clearly that was only achieved by doping.

L'Equipe never retracted a point about Lance's doping. Your reference?

Lance was only one of the most tested, he said recently himself that Contador was most tested than him, Cavendish and Cancellara have been tested a lot too but they don't whine about it !

Lance' s blood values showed 2 clear increases of hct and heamoglobin : how could it be possible? Serious diarhhea or dehydration, or more likely blood transfusion?

Lance is disliked everywhere even in USA because of his arrogance, his lies and his doping. He had problem with French and Europe press since 1999 when he was caught lying about the famous false but outdated TUE to clear his positive test. Of course US fans have never been aware of that incident protected of the truth by Liggett or Bob Roll, accomplice of the myth.

Why his cancer was not detected by 96 Tour DuPont testing? What about 4 or more different legal testimonies? his corticosteroid positive test cleared by an illegal TUE and $500000 donation to UCI? his 6 EPO samples, just google velocitynation and ashenden for more? I saw this race. Lance was back leading the chase group after half a lap. Don't worry, the true cross riders did well. As for the course - it's probably the best they could do in Las Vegas. The terrain was really squashy crab grass, but at least the barriers and the run ups gave the 'crossers a chance to shine. We did get in trouble for offering beer handups though...

Steroids are different, more powerful, and more dangerous than what cyclists have been taking the past decade or so ... EPO and Blood Doping do not cause cancer.

What's your source for Lance testing positive?? ... had he tested positive why was he not thrown out of the 99' Tour and then banned for a year or 2?? I'm willing to listen, but as far as I've read, Lance only ever tested positive for Cortisone, and he had a prescription for it.

I gotta say that Lance Armstrong was why I started really getting into riding (beyond casual interest) and so to come in after the fact and read all this stuff was incredibly hurtful. I'm afraid you'll have to source the claim that Lance tested positive in 2005. Had he done so, he would have been stripped of his TDF title.

I've been on a lot of cycling forums the past few months due to Lance's comeback. The topic of Lance and doping comes up all the time. Thus far, people who've followed the sport far longer than you and I have yet to come up with but one positive test result ... excess Cortisone.

Europeans have a jealous distaste for Lance, quite sad.

The French in particular have shown an extreme lack of class in relation to Lance. It's like they just hate the fact that an American won their big race 7 times straight, while French riders have won few if races for over a decade.

Really, the accusations over the years have built up, but nothing has stuck, he's never been suspended. People are tired of Lance and some other riders. It's really still a European sport, much higher profile over there.

First I am an American, and always will be, so this isn't a lack of patriotism. However, this isn't jealousy. That is a very narrow, American, and only American, view of it. It's so great to see Lance going back to professional cycling this year. I really hope he wins the Tour De France this year. Still he's got a lot of tough competition, but the great thing about Lance is that he is clean and tries different types of cycling and does cross-trg such as running.
